Both Bradford and Murray were terrible signings

Chip the coach sucks also

It took him 10 games to realize that Murray was not an outside runner

I'm not a Chip fan, and I thought the Murray signing was dumb as well. Just guessing on his "rationale". But the BB part does give me pause on him.

I can't see any team signing Manziel

1. He is clearly dangerous to himself and others

2. He simply is not that good

Manziel's father said that they have been trying to get him hospitalized and into a program, but he won't cooperate. The father said that if they can't get him help he won't live to see his 24th birthday. Manziel's agent has dropped him, citing the fact that all of the measures he has tried to get him help have failed.

This is an extremely serious and sad situation. I hope that he gets some kind of intervention soon or he will be another young person who ends up as a suicide or drug overdose statistic.

Jerry Jones has taken on basket cases like this many times. In some instances ,Like Dez Bryant, it's worked. I am not sure he can fix Manziel but I do see him giving him a chance, IF he gets himself into rehad/counselling, etc. Dallas set a number of standards for Bryant and got the best out of him. they may hope to do that here as well.

But other than that. I can't see one team giving him a chance until he cleans up his life. We may see him playing for a grey cup before starting another game in the NFL.

Seattle Seahawks star running back Marshawn Lynch has made $49.7 million in nine NFL seasons--and has saved all of it.

In a recent segment for "The Ian & Puck Show" on 950 AM KJR in Seattle, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network was discussing recent rumblings that Lynch might retire and dropped an interesting tidbit about Lynch's thriftiness.

"Marshawn Lynch has a lot of money," Rapoport said. "He hasn't spent a dime of his actual playing money ... ever." Lynch is estimated to earn about $5 million per year through endorsement deals with Nike, Pepsi, Skittles, Progressive, and Activision, according to Forbes.

Lynch, the 12th pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, signed a modest--by today's standards--five-year, $19 million rookie contract with the Buffalo Bills. He took home roughly $14 million from that contract, during which he was traded to the Seattle Seahawks. Lynch really cashed in then, signing a four-year, $30 million extension with the Seahawks prior to the 2012 season, and he just finished the first year of a two-year, $24 million contract, bringing his career earnings on the field to $49.7 million.

But now Lynch may be leaning toward calling it quits.

John Schneider, the Seattle Seahawks' general manager, recently said that he was under the impression that star running back Marshawn Lynch was "leaning towards retirement."

Rapoport added that he would be "surprised" if Lynch is back in the NFL next season.

"His days in Seattle, from what I understand, are over," Rapoport added. "I would expect him to walk away after that."

If Lynch does retire at age 29, he can thank his thriftiness for having a nice nest to fall back on.

That's not a HOF career is it?

If the NFL doesn't come knocking for TO I don't see how they can for CJ.

Unless you think his single season yards record is enough?

I think they would like Calvin better than TO because Calvin actually respected the game.. TO was good-excellent, but he was a tool, on and off the field..

Much like a certain Carolina QB who is a punk ass sore loser.

I don't know about the punishing him for being an ass part of this. They can only select 5 not from the veterans committee. Those were Favre, Dungy, Harrison, Greene, and Orlando Pace.

For some reason they don't like electing more than one guy at a position each year. Harrison was deserving as much as Owens for different reasons and TO will get in next year.

Hard to argue Favre doesn'e belong. Dungy first black HC to win a SB and his record speaks for itself. Greene was a beast right up until he retired (pretty much JJ Watt of his era) and Pace was among the best Olinemen at the time.

TO just got on the short end of a numbers game.

Until 1994 it was clearly Sterling Sharpe behind Rice
Then Michael Irvin

Even with him were Isaac Bruce and Tim Brown

in 96 he was 5th in receptions and 10th in yards

I don't know if you can find any year he was #2

Rice: 122 receptions, 1848 yards, 15 TDs.
Carter: 122 receptions, 1371 yards, 17 TDs.
