Realistically, no. Has been a challenging year, but its always a super experience.
Tons of improvements, but we have a real monster in our section that will dictate most nights.
But we will show up and compete.

This is the cool thing about hockey. I've coached basketball quite a while, and when another team is much more talented than you, you basically know there's no shot. I know in hockey you'd rather have the more talented team, but it seems like upsets happen more frequently.

Another way I think of it is, if one team outplays another in basketball they almost always win. In hockey, some nights that isn't the case.

Status: offline 		One thing I have never entirely understood about hockey rules. A high stick that's part of a goal. How was that SCSU goal allowed when the dude had his stick above his head when he was in the crease? Please explain. Thanks.

Status: offline 		Still laugh at people who called me an idiot for thinking Joey Benik could play wherever the hell he wanted to.
Joey Benik is the simple reason the Gophers are currently where they are.
And Oshie before him. And Jake Hendrickson. And JT Brown. And a couple hundred other "I will bust my ass for you" kids who never get a chance at the U because , well, just because.

Status: offline 		Didn't realize this was a weekend off for BSU.

Make-up game against Duluth on Tuesday. Game means little to us, but play for pride. I believe that would be a sweep over UMD this season if we take it. I think I'd play Mimmack against UMD so Bitzer is fresh all weekend for WCHA play.

Status: offline 		I bet that's what we'll do with the goaltending. It's always fun to play the instate schools - hopefully we can win on the way to the UP.

For us to get home ice, we'll pretty much need to win every league game the rest of the way. Chances are very slim. Ferris and Northern Mich are playing well right now. #6 is looking like the most likely spot for us.

Good to hear. I think it's time the local media starts to adopt St. Cloud as the State's primary local DI team. Location is the only problem I suppose. IMO St. Cloud is the outer-ringiest suburb though.

I'm afraid you're probably right. I don't know why we seem to play better out of conference than in conference. Maybe our conference is pretty good?

We need a good weekend in the Soo.

Big win. Nice to squeak out a close one. Should at least solidify no worse than 6th place for the Beavers. Still a shot a home ice. Bitzer becoming an iron man again late in the season.
