Fun fact: Alabama-Huntsville lost 6-0 and 4-0 to UCONN this weekend. They have been outscored by a huge margin this season, yet they are still in 1at place in the WCHA.

We outshot them 15-3 in the 3rd period!!

Just an awesome & unexpected win!!!!!! I love this team already. We'll see how long that lasts.

I like our top-end guys. Harms, Beauvais, O'Connor, Bauman and the Fitzgeralds. But the rest of them?....I am just not convinced yet. Never been an Arentz fan. His game does not impress me. Marinaccio never does anything worthwhile. Dickman is invisible for such a big dude. I've been pretty impressed with Whitecloud as a freshman defenseman. None of the other new guys have stood out. But it's obviously early. We'll see what happens. Don't want to complain too much after we swept the #1 team in the conference.

Agree on your in depth hockey analysis Melrose. Great start to the year! You're next Northern Michigan.

Awesome in-game posting fellas.
Insightful, funny, with some personal info sprinkled in.
I give you two a strong 8.5 on the 1-10 scale.
A little work on your "personal attacks" and I have no doubt you can be pulling in 9's most of the year.
But a very solid start to the year.

SMF, your avatar reminds me of Jim. I guess that's a good thing. Some good memories of the old days. I didn't always agree with him, but he was a part of this and a part of most of our lives - even if we never met him in person. RIP Jim, and you deserve this Vikings success as much as anyone!

OK, so the 3 points for a win thing makes this a little deceiving. But 12 points and 1st place for BSU looks pretty great. Huntsville is in 2nd place with 7 points.

Those are some upside-down looking standings. Bowling Green, Ferris State and Northern Michigan are all 0-2, rounding out the bottom of the conference.

I assume I'm SOL as far as finding the Bemidji at UND games this weekend on TV?

drew, you probably get the game on WDAZ out of Grand Forks, huh? Maybe I'll luck out and the games will be on NBCSN, CBSSN, ESPNU or one of those other off-beat sports networks. Probably not though.
