Again did not know where to put this. I guess it is not just the NFL media that is lazy when it comes to fact finding.

BRISTOL, CONN. (AP) —Former Tampa Bay coach Jon Gruden is replacing Tony Kornheiser on ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast team.
The network said Monday that Gruden will be in the booth with Mike Tirico and Ron Jaworski when the show starts its 40th season this fall.
Kornheiser cited a fear of flying in his decision to leave after three years.
Gruden led the Bucs to the 2003 Super Bowl title and was fired after this past season. He worked as a guest analyst this year with the NFL Network during the draft and scouting combine.
He will debut with ESPN with a preseason game Aug. 13, a Super Bowl rematch between the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers.

For those that didn't read it in the NFL General thread.

Oh happy day. I can turn the sound up. I think Gruden will get a year under his belt and be the next Madden. Who could eventually be his Summeral? Mike Myock that is who.

Gruden and Myock would be great together, they had super chemistry on NFL Network during the Draft.

Mike and Mike in the morning today suggested that TO would be perfect in Minnesota for a draft pick, since we are obviously going for it all this year with Farve.

It was actually Greeney who suggested this, stating that Farve lobbied for him while at Green Bay. The following is my email to them:

Hey Greeney,

Love you guys, but go jinx some other team. Things are going fine the last thing we need is the infection that is Terrel Owens. You know where he would be perfect? The Jets, put TO and BE out together and you could lead the league in drops. Tell Buster to stick to baseball. For the record Farve was lobbying for Randy Moss when he was in Green Bay and the Raiders had put him on the market.

Do you not remember the way Owens treated Brad Childress in Philadelphia. ESPN will stop their New England sports bias before Childress allows a deal for Owens to play of the Vikings takes place. And you know that isn't happening anytime soon. I feel as if this is a ploy to break up the Vikings after ESPN in general panned the Farve aquistion. We are doing well after nobody, I mean nobody at ESPNpicked them to win the North and most had them missing the playoffs.

Hey Golic,

Love the story you told about the coach wanting somebody to bleed, back when you were in high school funny stuff.

Keep doin' what you guys do, love the show, but no Terrell Owens in Minnesota, thank you.

Excellent e-mail Tim. Let us know if you get an answer from them.

That's funny that they mixed up Moss with Owens. What a coupla maroons.

The Buster reference is to Buster Olney, the baseball guy, who I guess is a huge Vikings fan. He and Greeney were talking about how the he thinks the Vikings should get Owens.

There is a differnce between talent evaluation, good drafting, personell decisions and analyzing plays and other people's decisions.

Many of us are good at analyzing other people's decisions...but if we were truly good at running a FO...we would be running an NFL team.

I guess I can delete the PFT bookmark.

I can't care about what someone thinks of unimportant things if they're that wrong on the big things.
