I can't mess with mojo. It's powerful stuff.

I pick the Vikings.

Dave Odle -> RE: WEEK 6: vs Packers 10-15-17 12:00PM CT (10/10/2017 3:49:25 PM)

Maybe Aaron Rodgers gets the flu and a high ankle sprain within the next few days?

Lynn G. -> RE: WEEK 6: vs Packers 10-15-17 12:00PM CT (10/10/2017 5:25:56 PM)

Who can we pay to pass on some airborne illness? Quick.

David F. -> RE: WEEK 6: vs Packers 10-15-17 12:00PM CT (10/10/2017 9:41:45 PM)

I'm going Vikes. We beat them last year and we're better this year than last year.

You could very well be right. Our defense is healthier and our O-line is much better. Elflein is going to be quite good. For every play I saw him being pushed backwards, I also saw him surging forward, blocking his man out of the frame and hitting the next level to go find some more.

I used to think the Packers defense was overrated, but that stance is changing. They do seem to find a way to get it done.

Trekgeekscott -> RE: WEEK 6: vs Packers 10-15-17 12:00PM CT (10/11/2017 10:49:02 AM)

We don't look like a playoff contender.

They do.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think we win this one.

Let's just hope they don't try to start Dalvin Cook. [:-][&:]

Right? [&:]

Come on, Dalvin. It's just a little boo boo. Now hobble on out there.

Not only do I think we are a contender, but I think we are a more complete team than the Packers. It's easier said than done, but if you stop Rodgers you stop the Packers. I can't think of another team in the league more dependent on one person.

drviking -> RE: WEEK 6: vs Packers 10-15-17 12:00PM CT (10/11/2017 3:44:11 PM)

Again, some come in to talk football. Others come in to talk about me. You are a prime example.

Challenging the strength of statement is talking about someone?

There is a world beyond your ME centered one.

Check out the dialogue. I made a football statement. He followed with a personal shot. I'm only pointing out the obvious, which has been going on far too frequently and far too long.

It's Trumpian in nature, and childish.

If one wishes to challenge my football take, have at it. That's what the forums are for. To come in and take pot shots at someone for no apparent reason is childish and juvenile.

the only one that made a personal shot was you with the 'you are a prime example' comment

i copied a statement and posted my thought about it. The End

Nice spin. Sane people know exactly what your intentions were.

YMMV

So, we know Rhodes is probably the best CB in the entire league. I think he is. This should give Zimmer a lot of options in designing his defensive game plan for GB.

You can leave Rhodes with no Safety help often. Why not bring the Smith blitz a few times?

It's great that Rhodes is spectacular, but I think we should be doing more with that advantage.

If you actually have a shut down corner, it's almost like you're playing with 12 men on D.

I hope Zimmer takes full advantage of that.

And, you absolutely have to spy Rodgers end of half/game/3rd down situations. So much easier to do when you have a shut down CB.

DEFENSE STARTS AT THE CORNERS!

Where have we heard this before?

You lose that extra man by having the spy. Barr usually does this .

The cowboys cannot stop the run this year. That's why the pack won the game last week. We should have better luck in that department.

Like I said earlier in the week, I don't believe the Packers are a great team. They have a lot of holes. Stop Rodgers and you stop the Pack.

Trekgeekscott -> RE: WEEK 6: vs Packers 10-15-17 12:00PM CT (10/13/2017 12:35:49 PM)

Key to beating the Packers is twofold.

1. Keep Rodgers in the pocket. It's when he gets outside the pocket that he becomes the most dangerous. Keep him from escaping the pocket and you limit his effectiveness.

2. Don't make stupid mistakes. Don't jump early, Rodgers is a master of taking advantage of that. Don't give them one free yard. They will take advantage.
