Toby Stumbo -> WEEK 9: vs Lions 11-4-18 12:00PM CT (10/30/2018 7:32:29 AM)

Clean up those mistakes and get back on the winning side of things!

GO VIKES!

David Levine -> RE: WEEK 9: vs Lions 11-4-18 12:00PM CT (10/30/2018 1:40:50 PM)

Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter
Detroit is trading WR Golden Tate to the Philadelphia Eagles for a third-round pick, per source.

Couple teams bailing ... Broncos send Thomas out, Lions send out Tate
Seems odd
Tate seemed a pretty big part of Detroits plan most Sundays

FA after the year, so I'm guessing he isn't part of the plan going forward, so might as well get an asset for him.

joejitsu -> RE: WEEK 9: vs Lions 11-4-18 12:00PM CT (10/30/2018 8:54:10 PM)

Our gang is going to win this game in a big way. Stafford always finds a way to buckle under pressure, and our receivers are going to find seams all day.

Their front office have had a chance to talk extension numbers. Maybe they don't they can sign him or his ask is not equal to the valur On one side a solid 3 rounder. The other side, 8 games to play only 1 back. The scenario of not making the plays offs, not being able to resign Tat, and losing a comp pick for him, or some variation of this process is what made em pull the trigger.

for this year I AM HAPPY!! I'll worry about next, next year.

Wonder if and by how much the odds changed.

The line has actually dropped since opening. I do expect it to bump up a little though.

A lot of bettors tend to overreact to things like this. Similar to the NBA, when a player is out (non QB), the total is usually impacted way more than the line.

Trekgeekscott -> RE: WEEK 9: vs Lions 11-4-18 12:00PM CT (10/31/2018 2:47:04 PM)

Lions front office is throwing in the towel by trading Tate.

Vikings Win

Seems strange. Tate is a very good receiver. He is 30 though and they have some other good young receivers on the roster.

Tate is the one who has always seemed to come up big in the big spots for the Kitties.

SoMnFan -> RE: WEEK 9: vs Lions 11-4-18 12:00PM CT (11/1/2018 11:16:28 AM)

Sure felt like it
Cannot believe they bailed at this point, contract issues or not
He seemed to be "the guy" for Stafford.
Oh well, weakens them, imo. And that's good.

Bill Jandro -> RE: WEEK 9: vs Lions 11-4-18 12:00PM CT (11/3/2018 8:19:28 AM)

From what I've read Det really likes Golladay and Jones as they're starting wr's going forward

Zim is 3-5 vs Det and I don't think Det has lost at the Bank yet

Cousins plays poorly at the Bank which is puzzling

I would say the only poor game he had at the bank is the Buffalo game, last week is passer rating was 107 vs the Saints, that is with the INT that was on Diggs.

thebigo -> RE: WEEK 9: vs Lions 11-4-18 12:00PM CT (11/3/2018 9:40:29 PM)

I had a feeling in my gut going into last weeks game, even so I think we outplayed the Aints, outside of the TOs. This week I feel good (just call me Marty) Vikings 34-13

David F. -> RE: WEEK 9: vs Lions 11-4-18 12:00PM CT (11/4/2018 12:19:02 AM)

Detroit defense is 7th in the league vs the pass and 32!!! against the run. They are 14th overall in yards and 16th overall in scoring. I hope our coaching staff doesn't take this info and decide that running on every first and second down is a good idea. Considering we have been passing at such a high percentage this year I think a true 50/50 split on run/pass while still throwing on first down 30-40% of the time should do the trick.

ronhextall -> RE: WEEK 9: vs Lions 11-4-18 12:00PM CT (11/4/2018 7:29:10 AM)

Darn near a must win IMO.

Todd M -> RE: WEEK 9: vs Lions 11-4-18 12:00PM CT (11/4/2018 7:45:06 AM)

4-4-1 wouldn't be pretty but with the division title likely being our limit and it being so tight anything can happen. Be nice to string some wins here and take control so we can at least be in the drivers seat for that.

Could go south here and we'll be left collecting the pieces in a major disappointment of a season but if we can hold strong, take the division, and get healthy we could still make a run in the end.

Gonna be interesting.

David F. -> RE: WEEK 9: vs Lions 11-4-18 12:00PM CT (11/4/2018 8:34:08 AM)

It’s the fricken lions at home. Only Zimmer with his tight butthole and poor clock management can mess this up.

kurt bilben -> RE: WEEK 9: vs Lions 11-4-18 12:00PM CT (11/4/2018 9:07:35 AM)

We need to start playing like a team that is supposedly as talented as we are supposed to be. Injuries or not.

If there is one thing I have my reservations about Zimmer teams on is that he most definitely goes into a shell when he gets a slight lead.

We need to boat race a few people which in turn can give some of your starters some rest.

Our defense is NOT good enough yet this year to be trusted with even two score leads.

Bruce Johnson -> RE: WEEK 9: vs Lions 11-4-18 12:00PM CT (11/4/2018 10:31:28 AM)

Didn't we play the last two games there on Thanksgiving? Maybe not. This is a huge game.

When have the Vikings blown out a Central division opponent? Vikings will eke out a 23-20 victory.

Chris Tomasson@christomasson
#Vikings rookie Brian O'Neill is lining up during drills with the starters at right tackle, an indication he is line to start rather than Rashod Hill.
