Lynn G. -> RE: WEEK 12: vs Packers 11-25-18 7:20PM CT (11/20/2018 8:18:20 AM)

And how does it seem to happen every season that the Vikings/Packers game is the same weekend as the Gopher/Badger game? Am I imagining that, or is there some weird alignment between NFL and BigTen scheduling that goes on?

David F. -> RE: WEEK 12: vs Packers 11-25-18 7:20PM CT (11/20/2018 9:30:01 AM)

I wonder if Zimmer announcing to the world that our offense will be going back to the basics will give Green Bay an advantage in their preparation and game-planning.

I guess the beat-down skeptic in me would say ... "might as well get totally frustrated with a weekend, no sense half-assing it". [:D]

That's addict behavior!

Guilty as charged, sir ...

ronhextall -> RE: WEEK 12: vs Packers 11-25-18 7:20PM CT (11/20/2018 11:17:05 AM)

I don’t see how Zimmer is the Vikings coach next year if they lose another home game.

Go from Super Bowl contenders to losing 3 games at home and missing playoffs is very bad.

I don't see how Zimmer is not the Vikings coach next year.

No way they let him go.

I can see some of his coaches being cut loose.

but not him, maybe after next year if things continue to deteriorate.

That really is how the long term consistently good franchises are built and sustained... clean house at the first sign that your team is not the best in the league in every category.

We should have cleaned house after the 8-8 2016 season.

If only we would have listened to Nuggyberger.

Building vs regressing.

The build should be over. Very possible the Vikings don’t beat one team that is any good this year. That is alarming considering the Super Bowl was a realistic goal.

Almost all Super Bowl winning coaches do it early in their tenure with the team.

We regressed in 2016.

Year 3 vs year 5. This year was designed as a complete team ready to make a run.

Five years is plenty.

Doesnt really matter what anybody’s opinion is unless their last name is Wilf.

marty -> RE: WEEK 12: vs Packers 11-25-18 7:20PM CT (11/21/2018 11:15:23 PM)

The Vikings could also run the table.

marty -> RE: WEEK 12: vs Packers 11-25-18 7:20PM CT (11/21/2018 11:18:25 PM)

I am hoping Cousins bounces back this week, and shows he can outperform Aaron Rodgers.

Last week's Kirk Cousins, was the Washington Kirk Cousins. He needs to bounce back to save his job, give us a little "You like that ?"

It's possible that the Vikings best QB is actually Kyle Sloter, hopefully Cousins soon puts that to rest.

DRAMA KING

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers continues to have family drama. The 34-year-old was ripped by his brother Jordan on Twitter after pledging to donate $1 million to assist those impacted by the California wildfires.

Jordan Rodgers called out Aaron, accusing him of not getting in touch with his family as the wildfires approached their house.

According to Jordan Rodgers, Aaron did not reach out to his mother as she was preparing to evacuate the family’s house during the wildfires. Jordan Rodgers also said everything else Aaron does “just feels like an act.”

The family feud isn’t new. While on “The Bachelorette,” Jordan Rodgers revealed Aaron and the family had a falling out. Aaron Rodgers has declined to discuss the issue, saying he finds it inappropriate to talk publicly about “family matters.”

The family’s drama should add to an already pivotal week for the Packers. The team will take on the division rival Minnesota Vikings in Week 12. With the Packers sitting at 4-5-1, a loss could be devastating to their postseason chances.

So could the Raiders.

marty -> RE: WEEK 12: vs Packers 11-25-18 7:20PM CT (11/22/2018 8:36:07 PM)

True, but I think the Vikes have way more talent, and didn't unload 2 of their best players, 3 if you also count Murray, who is a good player.

Ragnarök -> RE: WEEK 12: vs Packers 11-25-18 7:20PM CT (11/25/2018 6:12:42 PM)

Like a death march round here... good to see everyone ready for this one!

bohumm -> RE: WEEK 12: vs Packers 11-25-18 7:20PM CT (11/25/2018 6:36:07 PM)

Posted this in the general thread:

I'm hoping the Vikes go uptempo/no-huddle for a chunk of the first half. Quick rhythm passes mixed with runs and longer patterns. Nothing has to be exotic, just a mix with pace.

Bruce Johnson -> RE: WEEK 12: vs Packers 11-25-18 7:20PM CT (11/25/2018 6:39:42 PM)

Randall Cobb and Mike Daniels out for the Packers. I think that they will miss them.

Ragnarök -> RE: WEEK 12: vs Packers 11-25-18 7:20PM CT (11/25/2018 6:41:35 PM)

I see us going to the Turtle Package a good part of the game, new formations designed specially by our HC...

Steve Lentz -> RE: WEEK 12: vs Packers 11-25-18 7:20PM CT (11/25/2018 7:05:57 PM)

Come on OL. A lot riding on you tonight.

Ragnarök -> RE: WEEK 12: vs Packers 11-25-18 7:20PM CT (11/25/2018 7:09:51 PM)

Come on Flip, call an inspiring game with adjustments and counters to what they give us... Put Kirk in best situations to win and show us why you were such a hyped OC candidate...

joejitsu -> RE: WEEK 12: vs Packers 11-25-18 7:20PM CT (11/25/2018 7:15:23 PM)

If both of our lines play well tonight, we win easy.
