I was hoping against hope Zimmer would announce that Sloter passed his trial by fire and clearly earned the #2 job and Mannion would be offered a coaching position, trade or release. Why can't we have nice things?

Unless Sloter was coming to meetings/practices drunk, hung over or sleeping, this makes zero sense. Very Childress and "programmatic non-fit" bullshit.



Unless we trade Sloter and get something of value for him, I question (understatement) cutting Sloter. But to do it a 1.5 weeks after Zimmer airs dirty laundry on the guy?

I've never made the mistake of thinking Zimmer was in any way smart. Reading all the reports online it seems Sloter is as good as gone. Hopefully it's all wrong.

Source tells me TE Brandon “the Marian Flash” Dillon has been informed that he has made the Vikings 53 man roster. So Minnesota will go with 4 TEs between Rudolph, Smith, Conklin and Dillon.

This has soured me dramatically on Zimmer.

I've largely been neutral on what appeared to be Zimmer staying with "his guys" vs getting the best players on the field.

It's Superbowl or Bust for me now with Zimmer/Rick.

Yes. I think Wile is the better punter (today) but I could have lived with Vedvik punting with added caveat of being the better holder and kicking off.

Fiftk rd pick was a pretty big chunk of change wasted if Vedvik is poached.

If we are able to keep Kirk upright and open holes for Cook, then I will feel great about the direction of the team. Right now, though, I'm scratching my head.
