Toby Stumbo -> WEEK 17: vs Bears 12-30-18 3:25PM CT (12/27/2018 8:57:07 AM)

Time to make the playoffs!

Go Vikes!

David F. -> RE: WEEK 17: vs Bears 12-30-18 3:25PM CT (12/27/2018 9:45:07 AM)

Contain Trubiski in the pocket (no runs - THIS MEANS A SPY ON HIM FROM THE START ZIMMY!) and lay a pop on Cohen early and we have a chance. On offense figure out a way to deal with their pass rush. Good luck because I have no idea.

Our game was moved to 3pm. Not sure when Eagles play but we may know if we've made the playoffs by gametime.

We still have a shot at going to Dallas instead though and I think the Vikings want to be going in winning.

Chicago has little to play for and seems to be content with just being in the playoffs.

I am seeing a Vikings victory.

Our game, Philly at Wash, and the Rams all kick off at 3:25PM. No one will know how they sit at kick off. The best thing for us would be if the Rams are up by a large margin at halftime but even that won't make the the game meaningless for Chicago.

Daniel Lee Young -> RE: WEEK 17: vs Bears 12-30-18 3:25PM CT (12/27/2018 11:21:27 AM)

of course the league wants as much drama and fan interest in the afternoon games as possible..

i'm pretty sure that collusion is taking place and this ain't the white house, baby

Key to winning this game is to make Trubisky beat us with his arm. Need to stifle their run game and keep Trubisky in the pocket and he will throw a couple picks. Need to make them one dimensional and to beat us with their weakness.

On offense we need to take care of the football and our Oline needs to play the game of their life.

Todd M -> RE: WEEK 17: vs Bears 12-30-18 3:25PM CT (12/27/2018 5:03:26 PM)

Balls to the walls with a little cat and mouse pretending to bring pressure. But bring a lot of pressure.

This.

The D is humming right now so unleash them. This team has shown over the years that if Zimmer/Coaches come out "feeling the game out" that they can go in to a shell that's hard to get out of. F-that. Be agressive and dictate. I know that's probably going to happen though.

This boggles my mind. This was posted by myself and others prior to week 11 @ CHI. That and maintain the edges. Took a Zimmer halftime adjustment for him to assign a spy on Truby. We shut them down the second half too.

marty -> RE: WEEK 17: vs Bears 12-30-18 3:25PM CT (12/28/2018 11:49:14 PM)

Was it Trubisky's habit to run on many 3rd and longs in games before that ? Was he running because Minnesota covered his WRs well ?

It seemed like the 1st half in the last meeting, 3rd down for Chicago meant seeing if the 1st WR was open, if not then a quick throw to Cohen, if he's covered then Trubisky would run.

It seemed like the 2nd half, Minnesota took away Cohen and made sure Trubisky wasn't likely to get the 1st down running, forcing him to try to pass to a WR that wasn't his 1st read, which almost pretty much shutdown the Chicago offense.

Vikes will need to win the turnover battle to beat Chicago, and might need to do it even moreso if they meet again a week later.

Vikings 17-14, yes with a last second field goal![sm=cool1.gif]

bohumm -> RE: WEEK 17: vs Bears 12-30-18 3:25PM CT (12/30/2018 11:42:27 AM)

Healthy portions of roll-outs, screens, edge runs, and early/ often no- huddle.

David F's formula on defense is spot-on IMO.

Five more wins to Valhalla......

Guess you've since seen the Eagles play the same time so we won't know anything.

And Chicago has a lot to play for, specifically a first round bye.

Agree.

On O we will need Morgan's help with Mack and Ham's help on Hicks.
(or help from somewhere up the middle)

Pager -> RE: WEEK 17: vs Bears 12-30-18 3:25PM CT (12/30/2018 1:15:50 PM)

Ham is out. I think we'll see Morgan line up some at FB.

Whoops just saw that.

Point remains, or get Cousins the hell out of the pocket.

kevinemmer -> RE: WEEK 17: vs Bears 12-30-18 3:25PM CT (12/30/2018 1:35:22 PM)

Sounds like Hill may have to step in for Rhodes again (at some point, if not starting).

I really have no problem with that.

Pager -> RE: WEEK 17: vs Bears 12-30-18 3:25PM CT (12/30/2018 3:17:59 PM)

Fudge!!

Long wait to start the day.

One minute I'm 100% we win, next, no chance we win.

LEt's Do tHis!!!!!!!!!!

Steve Lentz -> RE: WEEK 17: vs Bears 12-30-18 3:25PM CT (12/30/2018 3:18:16 PM)

Find a way to protect Cousins and we win!

Toby Stumbo -> RE: WEEK 17: vs Bears 12-30-18 3:25PM CT (12/30/2018 3:26:37 PM)

Game time!

Kirk, you got paid, NOW EARN IT!

David Levine -> RE: WEEK 17: vs Bears 12-30-18 3:25PM CT (12/30/2018 3:27:00 PM)

LET'S GO!

Ragnarök -> RE: WEEK 17: vs Bears 12-30-18 3:25PM CT (12/30/2018 3:28:34 PM)

Cant lack presence on those roll outs, they have to count!

David Levine -> RE: WEEK 17: vs Bears 12-30-18 3:25PM CT (12/30/2018 3:28:41 PM)

Not a good start...

Todd M -> RE: WEEK 17: vs Bears 12-30-18 3:25PM CT (12/30/2018 3:28:47 PM)

A 30 second 3 and out is not the way to start.
