ORIGINAL: bstinger Cut: Rudolph, Remmers, Sendejo, Griffen FA's Must sign: A good Guard, a 3rd WR, a depth OL Try to sign: Richardson (if he wants too much get T. Johnson), Harris, Bailey Walk: Barr, Sherels, Jones, Murray, Easton (unless health problems are of little concern, then give him a lowball offer) Wtf do you want to cut griffen for? Please explain? He was ineffective after returning from his meltdown. He was the 64th in sacks with 5.5. 45th among DL. 36th among DE. He had no sacks against any of our good opponents. He's 31, slowing down and due a bunch of money, and it's anyone's guess how stable he'll be mentally going forward. He has an 11.9 million dollar cap hit next year and only 1.2 in dead cap. I'd like to use the 10.7 mil on the O-Line. If he's willing to take a huge cut, I might consider it, but I'm thinking he wouldn't take as big of one as I'd want, so I'm willing to do the tough think here to improve OL. Griff had 33 QB pressures.. ranked First in the entire NFL, even after missing a month He and hunter are ESSENTIAL to what our defense does. 5,5 sacks in 11 games with 33 pressures in nothing to sneeze at. As far as your ability to assessing a persons mental state.. [&o] I think the NFL and Vikings are “ Slightly “ more qualified than joe mmqb. [&o] Yourself. How do you attain the cap space necessary to sign who we need to sign to improve the team? Our currnet Cap space is down to 887,000 after people hit bonuses and escalators. We have some DE depth. Griff's best days are behind him and he is one of only a few players where significant savings can be attained. If we can find a trading partner, fine, but I doubt other teams will want to risk him at his cost.
