Mr. Ed -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/24/2020 8:09:14 PM)

Si kept having the Vikings go T with first pick. Got it in round 2. Good deal. Didn't have to trade up again.

Chris Olson -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/24/2020 8:10:08 PM)

this is a kickass draft so far

Trent Williams agent has said an NFC team is interested, believed to be 49ers - per sources. Makes sense. Kyle Shanahan was w/ the Redskins when Trent was drafted, Joe Staley is 35, want to win now. No deal has been made. Also, does not appear MINN has any interest at this time.

With the #Vikings using the No. 58 pick on Boise State OL Ezra Cleveland, a trade for #Redskins LT Trent Williams is now off the table, sources tell me and @RapSheet.

Mark Anderson -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/24/2020 8:14:16 PM)

I hope the Redskins end up with a 5th rounder or worse. Or better yet, just have to release Williams.

Pager -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/24/2020 8:14:31 PM)

I;m loving this draft!!! Mims goes to Jets!!!

Mark Anderson -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/24/2020 8:15:27 PM)

I have a feeling Zimmer gets to go defense the next couple picks.

But, Thuney is available for a trade.

Rick: "Late 4th, that's my best offer. Take it or leave it."
WAS GM: "No, Rick, we gotta have a 2nd, or a early 3rd+"
Rick: **click** (sends in pick for Ezra Cleveland)

There is a guy on Twitter tipping the picks several minutes before they show up on TV. Must be in loop somehow. Is the telecast delayed?

What happened to that guy??

So happy they didn't get him. Erin must be beside himself.

Bruce Johnson -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/24/2020 8:18:20 PM)

PFF has Cleveland as the 58th rated prospect. And he goes #58, so fair value. Here is their comment:

Cleveland has the feet of an NFL tackle and doesn't have too far to go from a technical standpoint either. If his play strength continues to develop, he'll be a quality starter in the league

kgdabom -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/24/2020 8:19:36 PM)

EZRA CLEVELAND
T, MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Vikings selected Boise State OT Ezra Cleveland with the No. 58 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Cleveland was a late riser who was talked about as a potential first-rounder. Cleveland (6’6/311) earned the job as Boise State's starting left tackle as a redshirt freshman, garnering back-to-back first-team All-Mountain West Conference honors in his final two seasons at the collegiate level. A true snap hog who soaked up 95.6 percent of the team's offensive snaps as a three-year starter, Cleveland's tall stance still leaves him susceptible to being overpowered while simultaneously limiting his ability in any power-running scheme. He still turned heads at Indy's combine in leading all tackles in the Wonderlic (30), bench press (30), short shuttle (4.46), 3-cone (7.26), and 40-yard dash (4.93). His mobility and SPARQ athleticism (91st-percentile) should help him land as a work-in-progress starter at left tackle immediately. Cleveland's arrival in Minnesota could mean the end of the Trent Williams-Vikings rumors. Cleveland is a perfect fit for OC Gary Kubiak's offense.
