Someone here made a good point a few days ago... vote as you wish of course but admit your want/need for something out of the outcome means you are willing to accept his divisiveness, racist attitudes/cat-calls, etc.

Evangelical Christians for example may want their voice to be heard and someone to defend them from attacks on religion. But they have to be ok with the same person who has had multiple divorces, says you can grab women by the p****, lies as a matter of habit, name calls pretty much anyone he disagrees with, says there are "good people on both sides" when the Neo-Nazis marched in Charlottesville, etc, etc, etc.

But what has he actually delivered? He had soldiers forcibly clear the streets so he could get in a VERY awkward bible-holding photo op. So what!?

Seems like an awful lot of willing trade-offs so they can hear him spout an occasional pro-religion/God soundbite.

And if they'd only listen they would hear Democrats give an occasional soundbite in their favor as well...

I remember when Trump helped write 1994 crime bill and famously said "Lock the SOBs up"

I remember Trump admiring a KKK Grand Wizard and spoke fondly of him at his funeral.

I remember when Trump said "You can't go to a 7-11 unless you have a slightly Indian accent.

And many more racist statements that Trump said are all over the internet.

But, people who claim that they despise Racism will still vote for him.
Mark IIRC you are a conservative right? I'm more likely to take your allegations against Trump as being legit if they're coming from a conservative.

Mark was probably foolin' with people. Those are some of Biden's words/actions.

Biden would probably have a hard time motivating the Democratic base voters but. luckily for him, Trump already has them very motivated.

Duplicate

I'm not a fan of Donald Trump. He's a rude, crude dude. I mildly enjoy him being the anti-politician and not Presidential. I think Politician and Corrupt politician are synonymous. I never heard one peep about Trump being a racist when he was building hotels and casinos employing many minorities at very good wages. I never heard one peep about Trump being a racist when he was hosting the apprentice show. However, when he becomes a politician all of a sudden he's a racist.

Help me out here. How was Trump involved in a crime bill when he wasn't in politics? What's wrong with lockng SOBs up?
That's interesting about him being a fan of a KKK Grand Wizard. Tell me more. I might look into that.
The 7-11 stereotype was just a flat out stupid thing to say. We all say stupid things sometimes. I was roommates with some Indians for a year. I enjoyed the exposure to Indian culture for that time. Other than that my only exposure to Indians is via TV and Movies. I see TV shows and movies all the time (Simpsons for one) portraying Indians as clerks at 7-11 type stores. Is there some truth to Indians being overproportionally employed as store clerks?

I need a lot more to go on than this before I come to a conclusion that Trump is a racist. I have to see evidence that he is against people simply because of their skin color. Making a few stupid comments is not proof of being a racist to me. I heard something about some apartment complex he was involved in not renting fairly to persons of color. I don't know how much he was involved or how true the allegations are. I know that liberals will come up with everything they can to try to discredit him so I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt until I see what I truly consider a smoking gun against him. Maybe he's a racist, but it will take a lot more than allegations by liberals to convince me.

As for voting I didn't vote for Trump last time and I doubt I will vote for him this time. I don't think he is worthy of my vote. However, his political values are closer to mine than liberal candidates. So if I were to vote for him or Biden I would vote for Trump.

Maybe you should have paid attention to the consent decree filed by the feds against the Trump Corp when Trump and his dad were running it for housing discrimination against blacks. Maybe you should have paid attention when he took out full-page ads calling for the death penalty against the Central Park Five when they were juveniles......and innocent. (And his refusal to acknowledge how wrong he was or apologize.)
Maybe you should have paid attention when he accused Obama of being a foreigner......over, and over, and over.
Maybe you should have paid attention to his recent dog whistles to suburbanites about how he saved them from riff raff moving out to their neighborhoods.
Maybe in general you should know a thing or two before you spout off.

I don't follow politics. I thought he was serious and got taken in. He let me know it was a joke by PM. Why do the parties give us these candidates. If the Dems had nominated just about anybody other then Hillary last time Trump wouldn't have won. Now the nominee is an 80 or so year old guy with a history of making statements just as stupid as Trump's and could be construed as a racist.

I was going to say most of the same things, but Bohumm said it better.

The bottom line is that just because you personally didn't hear all of the times that he was accused of being a racist since very early in his adult life, doesn't mean it didn't happen. It's kind of a Trump-like thing to say if you didn't hear it, it didn't happen.

The man is pretty much textbook racist, and he continues to prove it almost every day. If one were to actually take the time to make a full list of racist things he has done and said it would probably take up six typed pages in a word document.

I'm taking those with a large grain of salt as I know that allegations by both parties are usually false or exaggerated.

What do you know about his 1994 crime bill?

Because you keep fukking talking about them. If you don't care to engage in understanding the society you live in, that's sad, but your prerogative. But why, then, keep yammering about this stuff? My policy has been to ignore you and not respond because you're kind of pathetic, but we're in serious times and I've responded lately. I will go back to ignoring at some point in time, but for now I'll point your bullshit out from time to time. I hope you get help or whatever, because you seem to have issues.

But for now let me support your policy to abstain from voting. (BTW, the Central Park 5 case, from the incident through the discussion surrounding the recent Netlix series, could teach you a lot about the society you live in, of which you display no understanding at this point.)

"Why do you expect me to know these things."

I live outside of Flagstaff AZ in a town of about 500 people. That is the society I live in. In Flagstaff we have a Black Female Mayor named Coral. AZ is mostly a conservative state, but Flagstaff is a bastion of tree hugging liberals. One of our local law enforcement officers was shot and killed on camera because he hesitated. Why should I be interested in NYC crime and politics? They really don't involve me. I never once talked about the Central Park 5 until you brought them up so I haven't been fukking talking about them. The only things I have been talking about are the things I do know about. I ask questions about the things I don't know about like Mark's joke. You are an obvious hard core liberal who buys into all the liberal propaganda so how can I trust anything you have to say about politics?

By the way my best friends are mostly conservatives and I don't accept about anything they have to say about politics either. I don't trust any hard core political person.

I have no idea why you responded to me or possibly called me obtuse. I am not a Trump supporter so I guess I already see it?

I hate politics. Why do you expect me to know these things. I heard about the unfair rental allegations so no news to me there. I'm the one who brought them up. I don't know if Trump was guilty of anything regarding that. I never heard of the Central Park 5. Why should I have? I enjoyed his allegations that Obama wasn't a natural born citizen. They made me laugh. Did Obama ever provide good evidence that he is? I know better than to believe allegations by either party when most of them are false or exaggerated. How do you feel about the allegations about Biden being a KKK sympathizer/supporter and making racist comments about Indians at 7-11? I was going to say most of the same things, but Bohumm said it better.

The bottom line is that just because you personally didn't hear all of the times that he was accused of being a racist since very early in his adult life, doesn't mean it didn't happen. It's kind of a Trump-like thing to say if you didn't hear it, it didn't happen.

The man is pretty much textbook racist, and he continues to prove it almost every day. If one were to actually take the time to make a full list of racist things he has done and said it would probably take up six typed pages in a word document.

He wants you all to spoon feed him the instances. Then he'll go back to his machine in the Land of Oz and decide whether your information was good enough. And the cycle repeats....

Let's speed this stupidity up:

Next bohumm will provide more evidence because KGBum asked for some.
Then KGBum will say he ignores things outside of his town of 500.
Then bohumm will provide more evidence.
Then KGBum will ignore the evidence he asked for and say "What about...".
Then bohumm will put KGBum on ignore WHICH HE SHOULD HAVE DONE 50 POSTS AGO.

I need a lot more to go on...
I have to see evidence...

bohumm bites on the bait then gets sucked in to KGBum's nonsense.

Yeah, he started the whole charade out repeatedly saying both parties are bad, I don't follow politics, etc.

It was all a ruse and he took a couple of posters here behind the proverbial woodshed. Guess they had an insatiable need to get a few points across, all the while feeding KGBum his negative strokes.

I'm going to question every iota of liberal propaganda or conservative propaganda presented to me.
Most political allegations are either false or extremely exaggerated.
For doing so I get attacked.
Your mother would be proud.

kgdabom -> RE: Covid 19 and those infected (8/14/2020 10:07:10 AM)

So for questioning liberal propaganda I get viciously attacked by Bohumm, Lynn, Eagle, and Bill. Make note I also questioned Mark's conservative propaganda regarding Biden.

However, I wasn't attacked by Mark. I was just attacked by the liberals. Funny how that works. The loving caring for the people liberals almost always are the ones spreading the hate in my experience. When liberals made death threats against artists for performing at Trumps inauguration that made me realize how horribly divided we were as a country. These are performers doing what they do performing for the people and they were getting death threats.

I do despise both major political parties, but based on my experience I'm highly convinced that the republicans are by far the lesser of the evils, but still not good enough to get my vote.
