Derek Henry, I seem to remember Adrian Peterson taking shit from a certain poster for being pretty much a one trick pony.

Henry is a true 1970’s throwback RB.

Never had over 19 receptions in any season while AD had two over 40.

Henry certainly is a stud, but I get it, doesn’t play into your narrative.

In all honesty I’d rather have Dalvin Cook then either. He is truly the modern back that helps you on all downs.

Yes, availability and maybe a reduced contract although that's debatable since his last two contracts have been one-year deals with KC for $2 M then $3 M (he lost ~ 750K of that from his 4-game suspension).

1 yr, $4 million this late in the offseason is ok.

From another article:
As was reported by multiple outlets, Chiefs’ cornerback Bashaud Breeland was arrested on multiple misdemeanor charges in South Carolina stemming from marijuana and alcohol use along with resisting arrest.

While we certainly do not know all the details and it is absolutely premature to try and offer an idea as to what will happen for Breeland legally, there have been recent developments.

Tom Pelissero, of NFL Network reported that on top of the recent arrest and charges, Breeland was already facing a four game suspension for violations of the League’s substance abuse policy.


So essentially we got a reverse 'Back to the Future' Holton Hill.

I was looking at the all-time fumblers, frankly QBs dominate that list, but of the all time RBs AD is not near the top.

It feels to me like we kind of caved.

Have you read his tweets (after signing with us) as he pines for KC?

Much less the tweets complaining about our lowball offer.

I was looking at the all-time fumblers, frankly QBs dominate that list, but of the all time RBs AD is not near the top.

But those other all-timers weren't coughing the ball up for *us. It just seemed to happen so often for Mr. Vicegrips.

*Cousins is easily our best chance to shatter that record, if he stays on for another season or two.

Is there a chance that anyone could explain to that guy that even fumbles that aren't lost
are still bad, especially from a QB? A QB fumble that's recovered by the offense still amounts
to a lost down and almost always a loss of yardage. On 3rd down it results in a punt and change
of possession. Please, inform him that fumbles, especially from a QB are almost never a good
thing.

Tom I just asked the question. There is a difference between fumbles and lost fumbles. It's not rocket science.

I fully understand that fumbles by our players are usually bad for us. I have zero problem with understanding that. I stated that in a prior post. However, a lost fumble is far worse. In those cases you don't get the net 40 yards of field position that a punt usually gives.

I looked up Peterson's career fumbles. I believe I am considering them with an open mind. Did he fumble more than I would have liked? Yes! These are total fumbles no differentiation between lost and recovered. In Petersons 2nd season 2008 he fumbled 9 times. So no he never has fumbled 10 times in a season. We exaggerate the number of Peterson fumbles around here because we love to denigrate our own. He fumbled 0 times in 2014 and 2020. . 1 time in each in 2010-11-16. He's only had 4 seasons with a high number of fumbles IMO. 2008 as mentioned with 9, 2009 and 15 with 7, and 2016 with 6 total between 2 teams. However he only played 1 game in 14 and 3 in 16 so lets throw those out. In 12 seasons (plus the two very shortened seasons) he had 48 fumbles averaging 4 a year. Looking at the big picture I have never had a problem with Peterson's fumbles and I believe more than half were recovered by us.
In the last two years Derek Henry has fumbled 8 times. An average of 4 a year. Looks like he is turning into a big fumbling problem and the Titans should probably let him go.
