I didn’t get to watch most of the game, but every Super Bowl has a play or two, in a tight contest, that can be called “ a bad call by the Referee “..

Stafford throwing picks and Cincinnati picking off Stafford is what kept them in that Game..

Rams defense stepped up their game, when the game was on the line..

Donald was a beast in crunch time.

His third down and fourth down plays on the last drive, is what great players do..

They take control of the game and make things happen.

I'm using Cousin's 1st on CB. I sign Patterson for couple more years, and make CB a top FA acquisition with our newfound $.

Peterson right?

Todd M -> RE: General Vikes Talk (2/14/2022 8:20:24 AM)

Yeah. My bad.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: General Vikes Talk (2/14/2022 8:34:32 AM)

On that late flag, the small hold actually helped the Ram receiver get closer to the ball. True it did sort of equalize the non-call on a prior Cincy TD.

Ultimately, the Rams figured out how to get to Burrow against some OL players who looked liked the played for the Vikings. They freed the Beast Donald for some one-on-one matches.

And Kupp played out of his mind late.

Fair chance the Bengals make the stop on 4th if the refs didn't all of a a sudden find their flags. And on a questionable call at that.

I honestly didn't think it was a bad call. My problem was that they were letting both teams get away with that shit all game long and then suddenly it's a foul? Call it the same all game long for both teams.

Agreed, and I said so in the moment.

Yep. The way the game was being called, that looked like legal 5 yard contact.

One play changes a perception of a player and coach. If they(Rams) fail on 4th down after a no call there, McVay and Stafford facing criticism right now, not HOF consideration.

Did dragging a defensive back down by his facemask also look like legal contact?

ESPN has the story of the Vikings being one of Watson's two preferred teams. I would do it if he wasn't in so much Doo Doo.

I would do it if the league says no suspension is on the horizon.

AND

He settles all the lawsuits. Which probably means writing a lot of million dollar checks.

Problem is, I doubt Watson has the money (taxes, agent fees, and lifestyle take a lot of money) so he might demand a massive contract extension instantly. Being an asshole with his team doesn’t seem to be a problem for him.

He just had an extension:
SEP 5 2020Signed a 4 year $156 million contract extension with Houston (HOU)

He doesn't need an extension. Cash due (not cap hit, but actual money he will get):
2022: 35M
2023: 37M
2024: 32M
2025: 32M

Odds are he is on the Spreewell/AP track but no amount of money will be enough.

So that leaves him with 100M+ still coming to him.

There are plenty of things to worry about with Watson, I don't think him demanding a new contract is one of them.

Murray has two years left on his rookie deal and is already being an AHole, everybody is different. Watson already cried and took his ball and went home when he wasn't happy with the coaching hire, so "benefit of the doubt" is a little dubious already IMO.

Apples and oranges.

Murray has one year left and is owed only 5.4M.

Of course he wants a new deal. That's standard operating procedures.

Fuq deshawn Watson..

I have had enough of his kind of player, and I won’t put up with another.

He is not worth the money with his history of behavior.

Ya’ll want to go from Jesus is my copilot Cousins to Mr sexual harassment and shit hole personality?

You're insane.

Getting Watson will not work, at all, and I doubt that O’Connell would even want him.

People discussing him as a viable option, are mental.
Have some respect.

Phil Riewer -> RE: General Vikes Talk (2/16/2022 1:59:17 PM)

I would rather roll with Mond and Cousins....if they don't think Mond is ready yet go sign Mike White....the NYJ backup that looked like he could throw it around if needed and Cousins gets hurt.

He is also subject to a 5th year option as a 1st rounder correct? And he is only 3 years into it.

So Arizona has complete control for two more years. Heck they could tag him once after that, if they tag him twice I think it gets insane.

Jesus
Is my
Copilot

-what a cool freekin' t-shirt that will be
-i love it!!!

Ricky J -> RE: General Vikes Talk (2/16/2022 3:25:15 PM)

I've always wanted one of those
Jesus
Is my
Homeboy
t-shirts, you know, w/ the white guy in long hair and a beard, but I could never find one.
In my last job in the middle of my rants I'd go, "that'd be a good idea for a shirt"
And I actually had one made for me and my family for this past Christmas:

Negativity
Sucks

-seriously, I'm wearing it now

Todd M -> RE: General Vikes Talk (2/16/2022 3:49:38 PM)

The only thing I need to know now is Kirk or no Kirk.

I'm willing to patiently wait...until Friday.

Probably easier to live in the now when you have an imaginary friend.
