How anybody listens to the kfan morning show is something I will never understand. It’s like a bunch of early puberty boys talking. Only time I listen is to hear Ben Leber after Vikings games and half the time they talk over him about stupid junior high stuff. Ben "Smartest Guy in the Room" Leber. I say Cove and Sauce are smarter. Hawkey is maybe not dumb, but he's weird and talks too horny. Hawkey can sure sing and produces one of the top morning shows...he really doesn't need to say too much; just run the ship. He has an incredible voice.

Suh? Ben Goessling@BenGoessling The #Vikings had less than $10 million in salary cap space before final roster cuts. By trading Jesse Davis and Armon Watts today, they've cleared more than $4 million in space, with only about $792K in dead money from the two deals.

The Vikings have trimmed the roster down to 53 players by the NFL deadline Tuesday afternoon. According to the team, quarterback Sean Mannion, cornerback Nate Hairston and CB Parry Nickerson were released by the team. An additional 19 players were waived. They include: -Safety Mike Brown -Receiver Dan Chisena -Tight end Zach Davidson -Guard Wyatt Davis -Safety Myles Dorn -Guard Kyle Hinton -Receiver Trishton Jackson -Running back Bryant Koback -Linebacker William Kwenkeu -Linebacker Blake Lynch -Outside linebacker Zach McCloud -Quarterback Kellen Mond -Tight end Nick Muse -Outside linebacker Janarius Robinson -Defensive lineman T.J. Smith -Center Josh Sokol -Linebacker Chazz Surratt -Defensive lineman Jaylen Twyman -Defensive lineman Armon Watts Lastly, defensive lineman Jullian Taylor was waived with an injury settlement. The team went from 75 players to 53.

Judd Zulgad@jzulgad So Watts gone, Davis gone, even the move with the punter last week, the Vikings are clearing out cap space for something. That's very clear. Sometimes these types of moves fall short but there is clearly something at work.
