Yeah, I have all the dang channels to make sure I don鈥檛 miss. It鈥檚 bleeding me dry 馃榾

I wanted to see him today because it should be a better test. I keep being told he is a first ballot HOFer but when I鈥檝e watched him he鈥檚 either been ok or sucked. Last night he was In between both yet the crowd hailed him every time they shot it right in to chest. He was as affective as a wooden goalie.

BTW- their guy >>>>>>> guy tonight. Just saying. Nice win.

Yep. The second CBJ goal was a little iffy. Fleury gave up a lot of rebounds.

As for Kaprizov...damn, he's good!

This a very small irk but still. That line needs to stop trying to be so cute. They waste a lot of good scoring chances by going for the highlight reel goal.

Nate -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (3/27/2022 12:27:58 PM)

You could definitely see the impact our new beef has had on the roster. The wild dominated much of the game while Columbus was trying to thug it up. Our guys brought the wood though and didn't let them get off easy. I thought at times the wild were very hesitant to shoot, opting to make some pretty passes rather than shoot and crash the net. Their netminder was pretty dang good though, gotta say. The first goal MAF gave up he kicked in, uff.

Anyway, things are getting more serious, the games are getting tougher heading towards the playoffs. Tonight's matchup will be a good test to see where we're at. The Avs had a great trade deadline too.

stfrank -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (3/27/2022 8:13:59 PM)

Wild 3, Avs 2 in OT.
Jeff is right, it's been a damn good weekend for hockey! [:D]

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (3/28/2022 10:20:17 AM)

Extremely good win against the best (or 2nd) best team in the West. Zuc was the 1st star of the game and KK almost ended it at the buzzer. We were buzzing during that last 2 minutes. It was pretty much over just didn't know who/when we would score. Took a whopping 15 seconds. [8|]

KK is just unbelievable shooting off the pass. Ultra quick release and he can deliver from sharp angles.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (3/28/2022 12:32:11 PM)

Hartman is also great at it and Zuc puts it right on their tape. The whole process is down to a T.

The X factor is KK. When Jim Dowd did his hockey version of "around the world" nothing good ever came from it. When KK does it, he can thread a needle or hit the upper corner before you even knew he shot it. That is impossible to defend.

kgdabom -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (3/28/2022 1:00:55 PM)

After a brief cold streak we have gone 8-1-1 over the last 10.

Thankfully Eric Johnson was .....Eric Johnson.
He is not Minnesota Nice.

Dumb boarding towards end of reg., sealed it for us.

Fiala also, like on the game winner yesterday. Perfect pass from Zukes and a great one timer.

+1 I was amazed at the Fiala shot. Real time it look like the shot went thru the goalie....same with KK.

Hartman has really upped his game this year. Where would we be if he didn't take that lesser deal. 27 goals---What a bargain.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (3/28/2022 2:47:02 PM)

That's why that move was brilliant by Dean. 4 forwards in OT. The one knock that I mentioned recently about our #1 line is they get too cute at times. Fiala doesn't have that problem. He will shoot the damn puck.

Mister Ed -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (3/28/2022 2:48:14 PM)

#mnwild聽 goalie Cam Talbot was named the NHL鈥檚 First Star of the Week. 3-0 with a 1.33 GAA, .959 SV% and one shutout. Despite career years up and down their lineup, amazingly, this is the first Wild First, Second or Third Star this season.

$1M? That's disappointing. Parise's and Suter's cap hits will jump by a combined $8M next year.

Probably a Goligoski no resign and a choice to trade Dumba or keep Fluery.....I would do the 2nd option.

I'd be shocked if Gologoski was back next year. The other thing to consider is that Fiala is a RFA after the season. They will want to lock him up multiple years. Parise and Suter will go up an additional $2M the year after next.

This is true. Been waiting for #mnwild GM Bill Guerin to land in Minnesota, but it's going to be two years at a $2 million AAV, I believe

Goligoski is tied for the #mnwild D lead with 28 points and is fourth in the NHL at +34. Scratched for a second game in a row tonight, but the Wild are trying to give the 37 year old some rest with so many games coming up and 8 D in the fold

For everyone else wondering what that tweet meant, it was a response to this:

I鈥檓 told the @mnwild are closing in on a 2 yr Extension with D Goligoski

I'm glad you posted this. I couldn't figure out what the one above meant. Guerin hasn't yet landed in Minnesota? It's going to take him two years? Yikes!

Even then the two look to be unrelated. Nothing ties them together. I know when I see that we're resting a 37 year-old, my first thought isn't that he's getting an extension.

Just trying to point out that the rest of us aren't privy to the full conversations that you only post half of.

Minnesota Wild, Alex Goligoski agree to 2-year contract extension: Sources

The Wild have agreed to a contract extension with defenseman Alex Goligoski, multiple sources tell The Athletic's Michael Russo. The deal is expected to be for two years at a $2 million average annual value.

Goligoski, 36, has two goals and 28 points in 58 games this season, which is his first playing for his home-state team. His plus-minus rating of plus-34 ranks seventh in the league and fourth among defensemen. The Wild signed the Grand Rapids, Minn., native to a one-year, $5 million contract in July.

Goligoski had 25 points in his first 33 games with the Wild but has only three in his past 25 and has been a healthy scratch at times. He was scratched for Sunday鈥檚 win over the Avalanche and will be again for Tuesday鈥檚 game against the Flyers.

Minnesota is 40-20-4 with 84 points, the third-most in the Western Conference.

REALLY baffled by that move. Golly's play has fallen off a cliff.
