We r done and the “flower” can Uber his way out of town. His fault? Not really but he gives a soft goal damn near every game, we didn’t have the fortitude. Hoping to be wrong

Why are we never allowed to have good things. I can't see us pulling this series out now. Could it happen? Sure. Will it happen about 1 chance in 10.

bstinger -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/10/2022 11:18:16 PM)

2 good things about getting Fluery. Talbot played better and flower sales increased, causing inflation for flowers, KG.

MDK -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/10/2022 11:24:08 PM)

Embarrassing!

bstinger -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/10/2022 11:26:36 PM)

Too many of our top players are little dudes.

We increased some size and toughness, but they are mostly non factor players, outside of Foligno.

stfrank -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/11/2022 7:38:39 AM)

Time for a change in the lineup. I want to see Talbot in goal and Bjugstad in for D-Lo at the very least. There is no need for a fighter at this point, but a guy that can score is sure needed right now.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/11/2022 10:58:33 AM)

They're done. STL is in their heads like the Yankees to the Twins. I will never understand the Fleury trade. I hated it the day it happened and I hate today. I will always concede that he isn't the reason we are losing but he has not made us better. The same stupid shit we do was there before he was. We can't clear the net to save our lives and he certainly isn't "standing on his head".

It would be nice if someone other than KK showed up too.

kevinemmer -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/11/2022 11:01:27 AM)

Agreed.
Jughead has some speed as well as size and scoring ability.
I hope Talbot is in Thursday.

Crosscheck in the numbers near the boards by Schenn on Kirill was bad news, Schenn also left his feet.
No call [&o] Dumb ass espn dudes thought it was great.
I hope his ass gets fined.

Hartman, Zuccs, Fiala, need to wake up and shoot the damn puck.

The whole team needs to come out for two full games like it's the end of the game, we're down at least a goal and we're empty net the way we play with 6-on-5.
(just pretend we have an extra guy, cuz we're skating our butts off)
Get pucks on goal and crash the net like madmen.
Kinda simple.

kevinemmer -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/11/2022 11:11:06 AM)

PS

Bring up Addy,
pull Merrill, or better yet, sit Dumby.

I didn't mind the Fluery deal, but I don't like the way they used him.
Letting him play all of the playoff games until it counts and then throwing Talbot out there after sitting for 2 weeks really sucks for Talbot.
The more I think about it the more I think it should be all on Fluery at this point. Oh well, maybe Talbot will stand on his head and steal a must game for us.

We can hope. Do or die.

kgdabom -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/12/2022 9:10:44 PM)

Halfway through the first period and no score, but we've definitely been the stronger team. Keep getting chances and they will go in.

kgdabom -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/12/2022 9:19:06 PM)

Horrible giving up the goal to Leddy we just let him walk in without challenging him and I think NOOOOOO just as he's scoring.

bstinger -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/12/2022 10:19:55 PM)

Wild suck. Season over. I'm calling it down 3-0 mid 2nd.

I keep
KK
Zukes
Eck
Foligno
Boldy

Fiala at 6 per or less, not worth more.

We're not big enough with our skilled guys and we're not skilled enough with our big guys.

I look to upgrade everyone else. We aren't that good yet.

bstinger -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/12/2022 10:50:39 PM)

Furthermore, I fire whomever was in charge of PP and PK.

TJSweens -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/13/2022 7:03:41 AM)

This series was lost in game 4. The way they responded to an opportunity to take full control of the series told me all I needed to know.

I quit watching at 0-2, so you stuck around a little longer than me.....
I could tell at that point it just wasn't worth another late night to watch them get beat up on one more time.

ronhextall -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/13/2022 8:18:28 AM)

No city has suffered as much as Minnesota when it comes to pro sports.

Wolves - suck for an entire generation.
Twins - 18 post season losses in a row
Vikings - nut kick after nut kick in post season.
Wild - self proclaimed state of hockey and can’t seem to ever make a run.

Lynn G. -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/13/2022 10:26:36 AM)

I had to quit watching halfway through the game. Once again, Minnesota sports fans get the chair kicked right out from under them and land with a thud on the floor. Little by little, over the years, I have pared back my sports watching, choosing to just check the scores rather than raise my blood pressure from watching. I was dumb enough to think that we might have a chance with this Wild team. Instead we're all Charlie Brown, looking into our halloween bag and seeing only a rock.

stfrank -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/13/2022 4:37:40 PM)

I started the season with low expectations and slowly but surely this team sucked me in with their play over the course of the season. Then they hit the playoffs and it was more the same old, same old.
And now, we are looking at cap purgatory for the next few years so all we can really look forward to is watching Kirill and hoping some young kids can come in and improve.

stfrank -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/14/2022 8:33:28 AM)

We threw away a 2nd round pick to rent Fluery and he didn't steal any games for us like BG was hoping. The only bright side of getting eliminated early is we don't have to give up a 1st round pick for him.
Now Fluery is a free agent and Cam has 1 year left on his deal and not feeling very kindly towards the Wild management at the moment. Fiala flamed out in the playoffs and was a non-factor, as was Boldy, but he is a rookie and this was his first taste of playoff hockey. It is going to be an interesting off season to see how Guerin navigates through our cap purgatory and who is left on this team come next season.

As for the continuing playoff games---
I'm not a big fan of the Avs, but I hope they put a whooping on the Blues just like they did to Nashville.
I think the team I will hitch to now is Bruno's Florida Panthers. Big, fast, can score and they just keep coming at you. A fun team to watch.

Lynn G. -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/14/2022 9:01:25 AM)

I kind of doubt that Cam isn't feeling very kindly. He understands the game. He understands the business. He understands that in a playoff race the team management is going to throw their support behind a hall-of-famer. It didn't work for the team, but the goalie situation wasn't the only thing that failed for us during the playoffs. I doubt that Cam has a problem with management over the Fleury deal.

Lynn G. -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/14/2022 9:03:33 AM)

I agree that I hope the Avalanche absolutely pounds the Blues.

In these kind of situations, when my team is out of the running, I root for the biggest underdog and/or the team that has never won the championship. I think all of the teams left HAVE won a Stanley Cup, right? So I guess I'll have to see who the long shot is. Mostly I won't be watching though. For me, it's now baseball season.

stfrank -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/14/2022 10:17:28 AM)

I watch the Twins or golf when I feel like taking a nap. [:D]
I saw a graphic last night where Florida last made it past the 1st round 24 years ago, so they were due to move on.

Phil Riewer -> RE: Wild 2021/2022 Season (5/16/2022 11:13:55 AM)

Umm, owwiee Erickson Ek.

I didn't know:

Michael Russo
@RussoHockey
Joel Eriksson Ek’s face is a mess from the friendly fire high stick in Game 7. He went through a lot of gruesome stuff in the medical room in order to come back in that game. Unfortunately for the #mnwild, it was basically 4-0 by time he was back.

In Nashville in first meeting last month, Dumba sustained a dislocated rib, a broken rib and that caused a punctured lung. Was in dire straits, had trouble breathing and taken to hospital. Dumba said he was playing “no matter what” in playoffs.
