The kid's interview did nothing to make me feel any better about it. He came off as a smug arrogant dick, who immediately started talking about getting paid.
Corner was a glaring need and Joey Porter Jr slid right into our laps. Big,fast, physical modern corner.
There were both DT and edge rushers who could have provided immediate help.
QBOF is another glaring need as we are probably heading into our final year of Cousins. Levis and Hooker were there. In fact they could have traded back and gotten one of them.
The good news is that some slid through to the second round. Hopefully KAM can find a way into the second and get one.
Honestly, I'm not that concerned about the getting paid stuff. As someone who runs in football circles a bit, this is a common statement among young kids playing the game. It's the same as the "eat" gesture. I find it less alarming than "First I want to thank God.........." Yea, save that nonsense. Who you should be thanking your parents for the gene pool and the five people that wrote your term papers while you were in college.
What I do find alarming, however, is the fact that we gave up the second most yards passing in the NFL last season and didn't do anything to address it. I find that particularly nauseating.
