If it’s 4-6 weeks then a world class athlete in a world class facility should be back in 4.

So let’s just say it’s not even his call it’s the team being overy cautious…if we go 5-0 wo him and we’re 1-4 with him…get the huge package to trade him bc we don’t need a 30 mil plus WR to win.

Danger is coming back early and re injury. He doesn't take snaps off either. Get him as close to 100% for the final 8 weeks with week 13 being a bye.

I would be surprised if he is back after 4 weeks. I really think it will be six weeks. Also, the quicker he comes back the higher risk of reinjury. He really needs to be fully healed.

dobbs threw several passes on sunday that cousins would never throw - window too tight...some were caught, but a few were not - passes that were right on the money, but the receiver couldn't hold on to the ball for whatever reason....

he can throw on the run better than cousins...and he's willing to take tight-window risks that o'connell has been trying to get cousins to take....

People remember the Giants game and rightfully so but I saw the opposite of what you were seeing. You don't have eight 4th quarter comebacks playing it safe.

Anyway, Dobbs gives us the running option and helps us in a way Cousins couldn't.

Agree in that there were games where Cousins fired it into incredibly tight windows, and with great accuracy. That's not his normal MO.

perhaps, but he wasn't doing it for the first 3.5 quarters of every game last season....

QB school does a really good analysis of dobbs and the falcons game....

He threw more INTs and had more comebacks with KOC as coach. That's all I'm saying. Probably means more tighter window throws than with Zimmer OCs.

The worst thing that ever happened to Cousins was having Zimmer and his OC aversion. And not any Zimmer but Zimmer post-2017 when he started drying out like an old leaf.

Aside from the money.

Watching Caleb and Penix is like video game madness, but rejoice... we beat Carolina, Chicago, and GB! Victories to savor years from now.

CBS Sportsline guy has us getting Penix at 20. 6th QB selected. Williams, Maye, Nix, McCarthy, Daniels are 1st five.

Kevin O’Connell said the #Vikings will work Justin Jefferson back on a “pre-set timeline.” O’Connell said he thought Jefferson playing this week would be “a little aggressive.” So likely no Jefferson vs. the Saints.

I'd gamble on him at 20.

Love his talent, but man, that injury history is ugly.

To rephrase your post:

CBS Sportsline guy has us getting X at 20. 6th QB selected. CALEB WILLIAMS, X, X, X, X are 1st five.

I read Sanders making 4-5M in NIL. Probably staying at Colorado another year.

And pre-setting before you know where he’ll be is a little conservative.

If we finish strong Dobbs will be a big reason why but I bet we'll start hearing the phrase, The system a lot in the future.

note: just an observation

Since the NFL and networks love these rags to riches stories, mostly to create more of a following, my guess is it will be about Dobbs, with the system being one of the supporting things.

The oft-traveled rocket scientist thing is pure gold for the media machine.

Im all in

In case you didn't hear it yet. Purple Daily touched on it too but I saw it live. Mark Sanchez was on The Herd the other day and told the story about when he was traded to the then Redskins to back up Colt McCoy and KOC was the QB Coach. Same as Dobbs this week. He didn't know his teammates names, playbook ect and had to go in.

He and KOC were together with the Jets years prior. When Sanchez was forced in to the game, KOC grabbed the mic from Jay Gruden and called the plays in. He would tell Sanchez the normal play so the guys in the huddle would know what to do. He would then translate the playcall the way the Jets did so it made sense to Sanchez.

Sanchez said was crazy how KOC was able to do that on the fly. Very jmpressive.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/8/2023 4:15:47 PM)

I'd prefer Penix at 32 but that's just me being greedy

I hade grade 3 hamstring injuries to both legs in high school (at the same time)but I gutted it out for my team.

Did you play WR and run mid to deep routes every down?

I was a RG. We pulled a lot.

Me too...I know I never ran 15-25% of what a WR did and speed wasn't always needed.

After watching the Chase Daniel video, and this QB school video:

https://youtube.com/watch?v=rCcmGXa-Ick&si=1jj9waZv1ZCqI3RP

I am REALLY pumped about the upside with Joshua Dobbs.

IF he stays healthy, and with JJ and Darrisaw back, continued improvement with the Flore's defense, I could see them winning every game but the one at Cincinnati, for a 12-5 record, winning the division and going on a playoff run.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/8/2023 6:54:02 PM)

I have a feeling Dobbs is going to light it up, to the point where during the off-season Kwesi will make the difficult decision of letting Kirk go, and then the mistake of not drafting a 1st round QB.
