That's why I personally prefer calling the day Resurrection day.

I don't consider it so much about resurrection, as I do fertility. Spring is in the air. Things are starting to grow again. Animals are screwing again after a long winter of hibernation.

The sacred symbol of the goddess Eostre was a hare, and rabbits have long been considered a symbol of fertility due to their ability to reproduce quickly and in large numbers.

I just a kick out of imaginary beings gift and chocolate bombing 2 of the biggest religious holidays so other imaginary beings and beliefs can be passed on generation to generation.

Remove Santa and the Easter Bunny and religion would stall out.

Not the thread for it, but I wouldn't bet on religion stalling out.

It lasted for most of 10000 years without chocolate.

I wished people a happy Easter/Resurrection day. The Easter part was intended for non believers. It's about bunnies, chocolate and egg hunts. Nothing to do with Christianity. Resurrection day was intended for believers. I don't think either of them is required to be only discussed in the religion thread. Both of these events are pretty big deals and I thought it would be nice to wish people a happy one.

Ill never understand a person that can appear tolerant of all the different types of lifestyles and beliefs, trash anyone that dares to not follow their belief system, yet ridicule others bc they believe in God. And I'm not speaking about myself, I'm speaking for John Doe and others. It's okay to accept a human born with a penis and compete against women but not ok to believe there is a something more than lights out when death comes. Hypocrisy & pretentiousness.

I would say that in America about 30-40% agree with you on 1st point.

The second one I would say about 99.999% of Americans agree. That .001 has some powerful allies though.
