Apparently Booker is the guy JJM wants...HS teammate at IMG

(I'm sure KAM will do just what he says)

Chris Olson -> RE: 2025 NFL Draft (4/24/2025 4:41:51 PM)

oooh breaking news!

Just got a message from NFL app that Lance Zierlein:

"The Vikings could look to trade back" later on tonight!

Wonder when he got that draft nugget...

ESPN Mocks:

2025 NFL mock draft: Peter Schrager's Round 1 pick predictions

24. Minnesota Vikings
Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina

The Vikings have needs elsewhere and wouldn't list running back as a clear hole on their roster. But if Hampton is on the board, he'd be a wonderful addition to a young core that the organization hopes can grow old together.

--------------

2025 NFL mock draft: Miller predicts 32 first-round picks

24. Minnesota Vikings
Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina

The Vikings have been connected to defensive backs heavily in the past two weeks and are often mentioned as a trade-back candidate since the team has only four picks in this draft. If they stick, Emmanwori has the height-weight-speed traits to be a difference-maker at safety.

-------------

2025 NFL mock draft: Yates' Round 1 predictions, Kiper's intel

24. Minnesota Vikings
Yates' pick prediction: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina

Minnesota's safety room is starting to change; Camryn Bynum is now in Indianapolis, and Harrison Smith is 36 years old. Emmanwori has exceptional physical traits and ball skills, dominating at the combine after a four-INT season.

-------------

2025 NFL mock draft: Jordan Reid's predictions for 257 picks

24. Minnesota Vikings
Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina

At the combine, Emmanwori ran a 4.38 40 and leaped 43 inches in the vertical and 11 feet, 6 inches in the broad jump. Those were all records at safety dating back to at least 2003. But Emmanwori is more than a combine warrior. He picked off four passes last season, including two pick-sixes, and didn't allow a touchdown in 392 coverage snaps. He can play multiple safety spots, which fits well in a Brian Flores-led defense that emphasizes versatility and complex defensive structures. With the departure of Camryn Bynum this offseason and Harrison Smith turning 36, the Vikings need a younger player in the back end of the secondary.

97. Minnesota Vikings*
Omarr Norman-Lott, DT, Tennessee

The Vikings signed defensive tackles Javon Hargrave and Jonathan Allen, but Norman-Lott would provide young depth along the defensive line as a designated pass rusher.

---------

2025 NFL mock draft: Kiper's pick predictions for Rounds 1-2

24. Minnesota Vikings
Donovan Jackson, G, Ohio State

Minnesota signed guard Will Fries and center Ryan Kelly away from the Colts. It's a big improvement on the interior offensive line. Let's take it a step further. Jackson would replace Blake Brandel at the other guard spot, and he has the versatility to kick outside if needed. He did so this past season when Josh Simmons got hurt for Ohio State. That seems relevant given left tackle Christian Darrisaw is recovering from a left knee injury. Jackson is a plug-and-play interior blocker with great agility and technique; he allowed four sacks over 40 career starts.

The Vikings do not have a second-round pick, but they could find a solid cornerback at the end of Round 3.

Chris Olson -> RE: 2025 NFL Draft (4/24/2025 5:27:02 PM)

Hampton won't make it past Denver, but if he is there at 24, i can get on board with that

ratoppenheimer -> RE: 2025 NFL Draft (4/24/2025 5:57:59 PM)

.
i'd stay in the trenches....

it would be great if we could get a top dt and starting lg out of the draft...that would be enough for me....

Daniel Lee Young -> RE: 2025 NFL Draft (4/24/2025 7:02:23 PM)

God mute this crap.

Chris Olson -> RE: 2025 NFL Draft (4/24/2025 7:06:39 PM)

omg, where's the vomit emoji?!

Jeff Jesser -> RE: 2025 NFL Draft (4/24/2025 7:07:57 PM)

Commish, James Jones, Clay Matthews and lil Wayne. Makes sense 🤷🏻‍♂️

Chris Olson -> RE: 2025 NFL Draft (4/24/2025 7:12:27 PM)

another question for the draft challenge:

which player receives most minutes of coverage tonight?

(and maybe without getting drafted)

BisonFan -> RE: 2025 NFL Draft (4/24/2025 7:28:45 PM)

I am just thankful the draft has started as I am so tired of hearing about Sanders and where he will go. Oh yeah, tired of the Rogers talk too. Go Vikings!

Chris Olson -> RE: 2025 NFL Draft (4/24/2025 7:41:49 PM)

well so far the player order has been exactly as most folks have expected, just not the same teams...

I think the Browns pick will be the first one to mix things up a bit

Mason Graham or Will Johnson?

Chris Olson -> RE: 2025 NFL Draft (4/24/2025 7:44:56 PM)

I guess Graham isn't really mixing things up...lol

kgdabom -> RE: 2025 NFL Draft (4/24/2025 7:46:54 PM)

Prediction. The Vikings trade back from 24 to 33 with the Browns. Hopefully we get 36in that deal as well, but 24 for 33 and something is going to happen.

Chris Olson -> RE: 2025 NFL Draft (4/24/2025 7:50:26 PM)

and now Jeanty...

if I keep posting, at least I won't feel like
I'm sitting at my computer by myself drinking beer
and watching the draft that we only have 4 picks in
and probably won't even pick tonight when we trade back to the top of the 2nd...
lol

feels like that is the lock of the day after the Browns picked up all those extra picks

They have 67 and 94 in the 3rd, i would bet we get 33 and 94, can't imagine they'd give up 67...what would they be moving up for, though?

Chris Olson -> RE: 2025 NFL Draft (4/24/2025 8:10:42 PM)

lol

if anyone is watching ESPN, Mel is pounding the table for Sanders and ripping NO for not taking him...lol

there will be way too much talk about SS tonight and he might slide to rd 2

Chris Olson -> RE: 2025 NFL Draft (4/24/2025 8:22:18 PM)

maybe we can pit the Giants and the Browns against each other to snag Dart...unless Steelers take him

get a little better 3rd rounder?

Assuming first rounders still have that extra option year in their contract: Someone will trade up to get him in the first.

But when I watched Sanders in game, I couldn't figure out why anyone had him in the top 5-10.

NFL Network has the best guys.

Rich Eisen, Daniel Jeremiah, Charles Davis and Joel Klatt. All are solid and not annoying.

He had nice stats but the level of competition he played against was lacking. Even at Colorado.

Rams probably want a QB so we are in a good spot if someone wants to jump them.

well there goes JJM's hopes of getting Booker
