The kid was throwing 101 mph bullets right on the black for 6 innings. He also got a couple of generous strike 3 calls and a couple of hard hit balls right at fielders. I'm not really surprised they struggled so badly facing someone like that for the first time.

That was a really good comeback attempt yesterday. I thought we were gonna steal one. Bummer to get swept, but it happens. Understand that only one team can win, and the other team will lose. Big series here vs the Mariners starts tonight.

When you give up 9 runs you should lose.

We gave up MORE than 9 runs per game in this series.

That's epically bad.

And we should be happy that our guys in ONE of those three games made a monumental attempt at a comeback and epically failed again?

Naw. I don't feel like giving them credit for trying hard after they got really far behind again.

The ONLY bright spot over the past two weeks has been Byron Buxton. But the cynic in me can't shake the feeling that he will be going down soon for the rest of the season.

I think extending Rocco now is a sign that they are going to be selling soon. This shows stability in the organization, and then the buyer can fire him if they want to.

Falvey should be fired. His drafts have sucked for 8 years. The Twins don't have the talent to contend and what's on the horizon is dubious to say the least. Looks like more AAAA players cued up.

Nope. Not at all. And Kirilloff was a Ryan draft pick. One starting pitcher, one good and one mediocre relievers along with a handf of medoliocre position players to show for 8 years of drafts.

I managed to delete Phil's reply while trying to quote it.
Phil stated that SWR is a 2 time through the rotation guy.

My reply is that he is a AAAA pitcher and that his being the best option to call up speaks volumes about Falvey's program for drafting and developing pitchers.
