ORIGINAL: lyle chabot Beginning the season on Monday Night Football! Chicago field has been an issue in the past, let's hope for win and no injuries I heard on KFAN this morning that they have had a bunch of concerts on that field in the recent past so it will be freshly laid sod.... So another shitty field in Chicago. No surprise there. I'd love to see both coaches agree to say F it, I'm not risking injuries to my players on this. Let the NFL or owners subsidize some of that additional so-called lost revenue. Each team rec'd ~ $432 million from the NFL last year, and that's just national revenue. Instead there will be an apparently nice green field on the screen. The Packers' national revenue increased 7.5% from $402.3 million to $432.6 million, with their local revenue rising 13.7% from $251.8 million to $286.4 million, equaling a 9.9% increase in total revenue from $654.1 million to $719.1 million. While revenue is not profit (Operating Profits: No team below $56M annually per Forbes). it's beyond lucrative.
