Daniel Lee Young -> Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 2:32:46 PM)

Meh..

TJSweens -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 3:15:50 PM)

Let's see if we can hold this sucker to a page.

David Levine -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 4:11:29 PM)

I was wrong to criticize the challenge…

marty -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 4:30:00 PM)

I have 2 fantasy football players going, opponent has 1, in the consolation bowl, so I care.

I would like to see Brosmer do well. It would be nice to see the Vikings become QB Central in the next few years, and one of Brosmer or JJ can fetch some draft picks.

timz -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 4:36:30 PM)

Apparently Flores has no plays for third and long.

marty -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 4:39:55 PM)

I liked the calls by Flores, they just didn't work. Detroit has too many weapons, Goff is playing well, and Goff got away with a snap that should have been delay of game earlier in the drive.

timz -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 4:40:52 PM)

So you like plays that don't work?

marty -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 4:45:32 PM)

I like the idea behind them, it's keeping the pressure on, which can lead to big plays later on.

marty -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 4:46:58 PM)

I like it when it takes a whole bunch of things going right for an opponent to have a successful play, as opposed to their getting things with ease.

Well they got that on forth down with ease.

marty -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 4:55:03 PM)

Even on replay, it looked to me like Detroit didn't make the 1st down they gave them on the 2 yard line, he looked short.

marty -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 5:06:40 PM)

The Vikings continue to bring the heat.

I like a pressure concept, even if it doesn't work every time.

They have to make sure Goff can't go to his right, make sure there is enough pressure coming from that side.

The Vikings' 'skill' position players need to play with the same do or die mentality that Detroit's are playing.

I think the Lions will win this game. I am hopeful the Vikes give them a game, and squeezing out a win would be the cat's meow.

ratoppenheimer -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 5:10:41 PM)

.
o'connell needs to teach his young quarterbacks how/when to throw the ball away....

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 5:25:59 PM)

It's good to know that we only have a few prioriteis heading in to the offseason.

A true shut down CB
2 Safties
2 starting OLinemen (maybe 3)
starting QB
backup QB
and lastly, depth

Nobody ever said (and most likely never believed it) but Brosmer is not a guy in the NFL. Not even 3rd string.

marty -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 5:49:42 PM)

I am guessing the preferred outcome is the Lions win, but don't cover the spread.

timz -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 5:50:05 PM)

Goff playing Santa with his gift giving.

He's awful, no pocket awareness.

marty -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 5:54:08 PM)

Not enough dink and dunk options or quick hitters against a Lion's defense that is getting quick pressure, even when they don't blitz.

marty -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 5:55:40 PM)

Dunk and dunk could have taken a lot more time off the clock, and maybe even led to a more commanding lead than just 6 points.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 5:57:58 PM)

I get it that Aubrey has had a great year but it's criminal that Reichard didn't make the ProBowl

marty -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 6:06:31 PM)

The Vikings could have taken control of the game with a FG after the turnover, so the refs called a quick holding penalty on the Vikings OL, whether there was a hold or not.

The preferred outcome is Detroit winning, but not covering the spread.

marty -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 6:13:43 PM)

The refs will not let the Vikings run the clock, Detroit is the preferred winner.

We will likely see holding on Vikings OL, false starts, and or a turnover in the Lions favor. Anything close will be likely be called in the Lions favor.

Stop blaming the refs. We have negative passing yardage on the day. Brosmer isn't an NFL qb. At all.

timz -> RE: Week 17: the who cares bowl vs Lions.. (12/25/2025 6:21:03 PM)

At this point Brosmer should not be allowed to pass. Just hand it off and hope for the best.
