Whew! Round two, here we come. I have to start listening to you, SoMn. Hawks-Wild next series? That should be fun.

Talent + incredible good fortune at all times = Your Chicago BlackHawks!
Look for several dozen "Crawford is God" articles the next two days.

I've never been a huge Crawford fan, but he's pretty good if the d is solid in front of him. Oduya and Roszival are the weak links on the defense. Q needs to pair up Keith with Seabrook again.

SoMnFan -> RE: General NHL (4/25/2015 10:10:30 PM)

Most teams would love to have your D concerns. [:D]
Every player you have is capable and has done it before, and is good.
Has to be a good feeling.

Yeah, it's pretty cool. After suffering through the late 80's and 90's, it's fun to expect wins.

SoMnFan -> RE: General NHL (4/25/2015 10:46:17 PM)

And Calgary takes down the Nucks ... cool.

See, Joe?
The Preds share my sentiments

That was obvious from the mood in the Predators' locker room. Rinne was still replaying some of the tougher chances that beat him, wondering what difference a save or two might have made.

"Throughout the series I felt like some of the games, the puck had eyes," he said. "You look at least three games, the winners ... just find a way through the maze and, obviously, that feels disappointing. ... You feel like maybe you get a break one of these games and it hits something and it doesn't go in."

"It's frustrating," he said finally, "but now I have way too much time on my hands to think about these things."

Most teams shots don't make it thru the traffic, or if they do, they deflect WIDE.
The Hawks shoot into the maze, and it almost always finds the back of the net.
Some call it greatness, some call it great luck. Depends on whether you like em or not, really. [&:]

Haha! I think it is equal parts greatness and great luck. I'll be closely watching today's matchup and quietly rooting for the boys from Minnesota.

Barn burner in Ottawa
God I love this intensity

SoMnFan -> RE: General NHL (4/27/2015 7:46:02 PM)

Couple awesome ones tonight
Game 6 in Detroit
Game 7 in Washington DC

SoMnFan -> RE: General NHL (4/27/2015 8:27:48 PM)

Joel Ward (still like him) puts the Caps up 1-0!
TarTar pulls the Red Wings back to within one at 3-2.

SoMnFan -> RE: General NHL (4/27/2015 8:44:05 PM)

Looks like the Ning will be taking it to 7
And the scrappy Isles wont go away quietly, tied it at 1

SoMnFan -> RE: General NHL (4/27/2015 9:05:48 PM)

Back to Tampa for game 7
Caps retake the lead. Isles running low on time.

SoMnFan -> RE: General NHL (4/27/2015 9:11:41 PM)

Caps
Finally
Helluva battle by the young Minnesota East kids.
That teams gonna be a handful if they stay together.
Never dreamed Garth Snow could put together a group that potent.
Fun team to watch.

SoMnFan -> RE: General NHL (4/28/2015 6:00:37 PM)

Kronwall suspended for Game Seven.
OUCH

That'd be like yanking Suter from us.

SoMnFan -> RE: General NHL (4/28/2015 10:44:19 PM)

An interesting off-season begins in St Louis.
Not sure if they'll blow up the core, or cut the head off.
But something most certainly will change.
Three straight 4-2 ousters will do that to you.
It'd be different if they were over-achievers, but that's not the case.

SoMnFan -> RE: General NHL (4/29/2015 9:43:42 AM)

Big one in Tampa tonight.
Wings relying solely on Mrazek tonight.
But I'd still never bet against them.

SoMnFan -> RE: General NHL (4/29/2015 9:44:34 AM)

The wings being two goals up with five minutes left in game four will haunt them forever.

SoMnFan -> RE: General NHL (4/29/2015 10:31:55 PM)

The NING move on.
Ahhh, that Florida hockey.

I hate the concept of hockey being played south of the Mason-Dixon line. That being said, Stevie Y is putting together a really good program down there.

I bet they leave the on ice talent the same, for the most part, but changes at the coaching position will probably happen very soon.

Bishop is a pretty amazing goalie. They also get off a lot of shots.

stfrank -> RE: General NHL (4/30/2015 9:14:08 PM)

Wow, Caps beat the Rangers in game 1 with the winning goal coming with 1.3 seconds left in regulation.

El Duderino -> RE: General NHL (5/1/2015 8:37:51 PM)

That game tying goal by Pacioretti looked awfully familiar ...

SoMnFan -> RE: General NHL (5/2/2015 2:08:53 PM)

Caps just keep coming .....
Great series

SoMnFan -> RE: General NHL (5/3/2015 5:53:31 PM)

I love it when assholes like Subban get penalized rightfully, and it kills their team.
The guy thinks there are different rules for hm.
He's quickly gone from a young quiet stud to a jackass vet who thinks he can do no wrong.
