This Senior Class has won four straight conference titles?
Wow.
I likey how our expectations have been raised for this program.
Hoping we have saved our best stretch of hockey for the end.
We will need it.

Hard to believe Rau was playing with Haula at one point.

The graphic they showed last night was 160 points for Rau over his 4 years, putting him right up there with the programs greats.

Still giving up the "rebound" goal way too easily. We score, 20 seconds later...they score. Need to tighten the system after something good happens.

Yeah I think I saw Rau ended up like 13th in scoring all-time.
Some schools, not that big of a deal.

Let's face it, nobody wants to go to Detroit for anything! Especially to watch Ohio State and Penn State play hockey....

Tourneys now need to be home games for the conf champs
How many will travel from Ferris State today?
It's embarassing and ridiculous
They've reduced hockey to one of the specialty type sports. Hope they're happy.

In front of what looked like about 50 people the Gophers took care of business and beat Ohio State 3-0. Wilcox played a great game to tie Kellen Briggs' record with 13 shutouts.

I saw Scott's post, earlier, about the lack of crowd but didn't know how bad it is/was. That was unreal. I mean, my goodness, that is almost unbelievable. If that is allowed to continue they get what they deserve.

The empty arena should be a huge embarrassment for the hosts and the Big10 hockey league. How can they not at least fill most of the lower level for tournament play? And whenever we heard the band it sounded like the music was coming from somewhere in the rafters. How about they move the band down to the lower level and let those students cheer for their teams and fill some seats?

I second that....Go Lady Gophers!! Too bad we can only watch your run for the crown via streaming on NCAA website. You would think they could at least televise the championship game.
I guess the NCAA figures since it is Minnesota beating up on everybody else again no need to put on TV.

The ladies play tomorrow afternoon. The men are tied at 2-2 with Michigan after 2 periods tonight. The B1G tourney title on the line tonight.

Yeah, I meant tomorrow. Gophers just went up 3-2 with a PP goal! Now they have to stay out of the penalty box themselves, it's been costly.

(Although the first goal by Michigan came on a totally bogus penalty that put Mich. on the power play) [X(]

They managed to hang on and win the trophy. It was a very fun game to watch with both teams playing the same style and trading chanced all night.

Big win....Detroit wanted the clock stuck at 56 and wouldn't start the clock at the end....lol Think they can move up to a 3 or 2 seed now? 13 in RPI on March 16th.

For a while during the season I suspect some of those players were wishing they hadn't made the decision to stay one more year - - - but when Wilcox found his mojo again and they started climbing again it looked like a good decision. And tonight solidified that - good decision and from the fans - we're glad they did!
