Hopefully they'll throw us a bone once in a while and let Minnesota, Wisconsin, and St Cloud (is that right, A Goph fan told me tonight they joined too) come up here for a weekend

I've only heard that it will be 6 teams
Minnesota
Wisconsin
Michigan
Michigan State
Ohio State
Penn State
Should leave plenty of wriggle-room for non-con games (I hope)
If they drop a bunch of the current foes, I'll be pissed.
HAVE to keep these rivalries alive. Too much tradition to stop playing these teams, imo.

UNO was down 3 goals in the first 5:45 and took it's only leadwith 21 seconds left to beat Wisconsin 5-4.
UNO does surprising well against Big 10 teams.

One thing I heard on the FAN yesterday that I'm in full agreement with: the Gopher Puck Live guy on was saying how this team has true 4th line guys that know their role. Meshes with what SMF has been saying about recruiting the right type of players - guys that will relish the role of killing penalties, finishing checks, and battling in front of the net on the 3rd and 4th lines. .

Yep, we FINALLY started accepting the Budishes and Helgesons of the state ..... All you have to do is look at Potulney and Koalska and its been blatantly apparent what this program has been lacking.
A team full of Ness's will look pretty ... and get HAMMERED in WCHA competition.
You HAVE to have some horses. Big uns.

They out-played us the second half of the game.
Rau with an ENer for a 3-1 win.
Our top line is awesome ... the rest struggled. They wer ein our end all third period.
Lots of work to do yet.

That said ... if I disappear during the night, it'll be ok.
I'll die smiling.
Hellluva day for Minnesota sports.
bet the Vikings don't top it off nicely, tho .....

After the game I got tangled up with some friends and a couple of Gopher fans, and we all hit the bars, and I don't have a clue what time I got home, but the wife is jjjuust a little upset, but I got up at 9:00 and watched the Vikes, and laid by my dish til about an hour ago.

Anyway, You were damn lucky to come away with a win last night.

Started out like it was going to be a laugher, and then it went schizophrenic and if not for Patterson standing on his head, it would have been different. Sounds like you had the chance to watch the game so you know of what I speak.

End of the 1rst period SOG.. UM 20,  UAA 4

End of game SOG.. UM 31, UAA 27

Do that against the really good teams and you lose.

What a fun weekend!!      Gotta go. Wifes yelling something about laundry.  Yes dear....
