Coming clean here - that third period was my fault. I turned on the game just as they were coming out of the second intermission - and was pleased to hear that the Gophers were up 4-1. But within about a minute of my turning it on Duluth scored, and then scored again quickly and before I could wipe the sweat from my brow the score was 4-3.

Sorry 'bout that. I did keep the radio on hoping to undo the damage by willing the Gophers to get at least one of those back. That didn't happen, but they were able to hold onto the one point lead. Next time I'll burn some incense or something before turning on a game.

I heard someone on the radio saying that the Gopher hockey team had good play from Freshman players last year. Are any of them going to take the next step up to become stars? Who should I be paying attention to?

This game in ND literally reminds me of renting our local bubble on Sunday mornings for our adult pickup games.
