I've always thought that hurts us though come the NCAA's. It seems like it's always played on small sheets and negates that part of our game.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/8/2014 9:52:39 AM)

BTW, for any lurkers. Don't get caught out. The game is not tonight. It's tomorrow at 4 pm because the Big10 loves screwing with tradition. [>:]

I don't recall seeing a lot of Stauber since they weren't televised back in those days like they are now, but he and Wilcox are both a step above the rest. If I recall correctly, Stauber was more an acrobatic flopper and loved playing puck. Wilcox seems more calm and always in position to go along with his athleticism. They way Wilcox moved from side to side on that 2 on 0 last night was amazing.

That was an amazing save early and what makes him great. He's quiet in net but athletic enough when needed. Although, if that dope had given it back, Wilcox may not have had a chance.

Great video

I must admit, I got the link from the Gopher Puck Live website in the forum.

SoMnFan -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/9/2014 5:08:18 PM)

Warning, Kloos and Reilly!
No trouble scoring on this side of town! [X(]

3-0 good guys after one. Over Edina East.

SoMnFan -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/9/2014 5:11:41 PM)

Wilcox with at least 3 more sure-goal stops tonight.
Not having trouble with THAT part of the game over on this side of town, either ...... [X(]

SoMnFan -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/9/2014 5:17:22 PM)

Give one up, and then go get one quickly right back.
4-1
Half-way thru

SoMnFan -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/9/2014 5:19:17 PM)

Brodzinski gets goal #4

stfrank -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/9/2014 5:21:27 PM)

Gophers let up a little, but that goal against seemed to wake them back up a bit. How many times has Barry called ND North Dakota today? Over under has to be close to 10 already.

SoMnFan -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/9/2014 5:21:55 PM)

Getting sloppy on D
4-2 now [X(]

stfrank -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/9/2014 5:22:45 PM)

Lots of posts against Wilcox today! One finally bounced in for them. 4-2 quickly here.

SoMnFan -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/9/2014 5:23:22 PM)

Love Barry, but he's taken too many in the coconut.

stfrank -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/9/2014 5:23:28 PM)

We quit skating and are just watching now....grrrrr.

SoMnFan -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/9/2014 5:25:35 PM)

Ouch

4-3 now.

The boys let off the gas.

SoMnFan -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/9/2014 5:28:38 PM)

Whoops
Lost count there

Now I feel better

4-2

stfrank -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/9/2014 5:31:46 PM)

They always seem to let up and watch the game for a while. I suspect somebody has a few words for them in the locker room right now.

SoMnFan -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/9/2014 5:54:57 PM)

Fasching credited with the goal that had been given to Kloos earlier.

stfrank -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/9/2014 6:05:57 PM)

In hold on and burn the clock mode now....

SoMnFan -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/9/2014 6:17:31 PM)

Good sweep against a pretty damn good team.
7-1-0 heading into some B10 play

stfrank -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/9/2014 6:20:08 PM)

Had a good weekend indeed. Outscored them 9-2 over 6 periods and never really got out played. Should keep their number 1 ranking again this week.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Gopher Hockey (11/9/2014 6:46:07 PM)

Mario, do you regret that decision now?  [&:]

BTW- if you don't know who drafted him, watch him hit the pipe with 90% of the net in front of him in the first.  We found our new PP guy [X(]
