These are sooooooo incredible.
Thanks TOE.
Lots of memories for this old bastard. A lot of these guys were my heroes.
This '63 team was the start of the years that turned the Vikes into a dominant one by the end of the decade.
Great young stars who became the meat-and-potatoes of some great teams later on.

Hilarious, un-intentionally funny stuff in these old ones.
Was there a rule against bragging? Because they spend the entire "highlight" reel telling oyu how great their opponents were.
And the way the game has changed is so incredibly obvious.
Hits 5 yds out-of-bounds were commonplace, the closeline was the standard tackle, no celebrating of any kind.
Absolutely awesome. Thanks buddy for posting these.

Vikings at Bears 1986

This is one Bear drive at the end of the first half, where the Vikes show off some serious D:

You want to watch some real defense ?

Rams at Vikings 1976... one brilliant defensive series:

Steelers at Vikings 1976 - the PPE inflict their will upon a very strong, talent-laden opponent.

This is almost certainly what would have happened, had the Super Bowls been played on grass & in the elements:

Thomas O. Eliason -> RE: History of the Minnesota Vikings (2/21/2012 2:36:44 AM)

Vikes at Oilers 1980

One TD drive and a defensive stop at the goalline.

Ted Brown is featured offensively, and the guy they're stopping on the goal line is only Earl Freaking Campbell.

So I have organized all these Viking videos into a "Viking Channel" on Vimeo.

I will keep adding them, but I don't plan to post here about each new one, unless it's specifically about Viking history.

Channel: http://vimeo.com/channels/298819

The password is purple on all videos. Enjoy !

And downfield blocking too.
