I did add a flex position and decreased a bench spot so we still have the same number of players. I can also decrease the bench spots by two to make the draft go faster. You let me know.

No worries. As I see now, you couldn't have known in time for me to adjust. Plus, you're taking on all the responsibility of running the league, which I know from experience is kind of a pain, particularly at the start of the season. So thanks!

I generally lean towards a shorter bench because it makes for more interesting roster management during bye weeks, and because it makes the season less about the draft. I was in a money league one year that had 12 teams and 18 roster spots. By the end of the draft, you were picking 4th RBs and 5th WRs. If you found yourself needing help later in the season, you were pretty much SOL.

Decreased the draft pick time limit to 30 seconds. Also decreased the draft's total rounds to 15. Nine starters, six bench players.

Just trying to make it go faster doing a draft that late.

Seems like the league just got REAL competitive from a roster standpoint in the last 30 minutes. Maybe it was a good thing the draft snafu happened.

Remove the Flex then? Haves versus Have nots on running backs, especially with the 12 teams. I requested it earlier because there was only 10 teams then about 20 bench spots.


Or change it to a W/T flex.

My apologies. I wasn't sure if I could make the draft so I waited until the last minute to join. I had no idea it would cause the time to be pushed back.

Don't worry about it Murph.. it all works out in the end.

The league became a bit more competitive in that time we lost.

DeLain, we're keeping the flex; gonna try it out this year and see how it goes. These are the same settings Toby always used when he was the Commish. I've never changed them at all until this year. Gonna try a slight tweak since one, you requested it and two, just to try something different. Maybe next year, we will add a variant of a PPR.

We will see. First things first.
