It's Covid related (I'm sure you knew that). Both Alaska schools opted out of the season leaving the conference schedule blown up, and no one wants to travel more than they have to this year. So to fill in nonconference slots, and if you don't want to travel, you play the closest teams to you which mostly are conference teams. I'm sure BSU would like to travel 1.5 hours to Grand Forks, 2.5 hours to Duluth, 2.5 hours to St. Cloud, or 4 hours to the Cities. I"m guessing those schools schedules are filled.

Didn't get ranked after sweeping #5 Bowling Green last weekend.

Maybe we can get in now after beating #2 MSU?

Are they even gonna use the Pairwise Rankings for NCAA selection this year? If not, we're gonna get the shaft because the pollsters refuse to give us the credit we deserve.

We're #4 in the Pairwise. Supposedly meaningless this year. If meaningless, then I have to assume they won't be using the Pairwise for tourney selection purposes. Of all the freakin' years to ignore Pairwise.[X(][X(]

Bemidji State #4 in the Pairwise.

Finally show up in one of the polls. #18 in the USCHO poll. But still just "receiving votes" (actually just a single vote) in the USA Today poll. What the hell is wrong with these pollsters?

Huge win for the Beavers last night. A 7-2 road victory is rare in the WCHA.

Bemidji State drops to #15 in the Pairwise after getting swept by Northern Michigan. Ouch!!

BSU beats Michigan Tech last night. Beavers just keep on winning. If they don't make the tourney, it's total BS. They must have one of the most difficult schedules in the country. Yet everyone says the WCHA sucks. I don't get it.

That would be a fun Region to see in person.....be just like the olden days!

Powers in the east don't want to see to deserving schools from the midwest in the frozen four.

I would love to see that region, but replace BSU with Huskies and I would love it more.

NCAA pairings come out at 6:00 tonight.

All 5 MN schools could make it. BSU is a bubble team, the other 4 are in.

Here is the bracket the committee released:

Bridgeport Regional March 26-27

#1 Wisconsin vs. #4 Bemidji State

#2 UMass vs. #3 Lake Superior State

Fargo Regional March 26-27

#1 North Dakota vs. #4 American International

#2 Michigan vs. #3 Minnesota Duluth

Albany Regional March 27-28

#1 Boston College vs. #4 Notre Dame

#2 St. Cloud State vs. #3 Boston University

Loveland Regional March 27-28

#1 Minnesota vs. #4 Omaha

#2 Minnesota State vs. #3 Quinnipiac

All 5 Minnesota teams are in the tourney with at least one in each bracket.
Wouldn't it be something if the final 4 ended up being an all Minnesota affair!

Minnesota State should have been a #1 seed, not Wisconsin.

Of course the committee gives UND the only real home advantage of the #1 seeds.

Gophers first game isn't until Saturday night at 9:00PM. There will be 2 teams already set to go to the Frozen Four before we even play our first game!
That is what happens when you let ESPN control the scheduling.....
