I somehow knew that whole Bostick joke I started would end up biting us.

I look at his last play and say .... "No thank you"

So....do we give him the key to the city now or wait until training camp?

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (2/23/2015 2:49:51 PM)

Adrian Peterson's agent, Ben Dogra, got into a "heated exchange" with Minnesota Vikings vice president of football operations Rob Brzezinski during the NFL combine last week, reports Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.

Peterson recently told ESPN that he is "still uneasy" about the idea of returning to the team next season. The running back sat out the final 15 games of last season following an indictment on child abuse charges and is currently indefinitely suspended by the NFL.

From La Canfora:

According to the sources, Dogra engaged in a heated exchange with Vikings vice president of football operations Rob Brzezinski during which the agent made it clear that Peterson would never play there again. The incident took place during a time when outside parties were in the vicinity. Finally, former Tampa Bay general manager Mark Dominik intervened, separating the men and diffusing the escalating tension, sources said.

La Canfora reports that a source close to the player also said that Peterson "will never play another game for the Vikings."

Peterson is eligible to apply for reinstatement to the NFL on April 15. The NFLPA is suing the league to get him immediately reinstated.

Last week, Vikings owner and president Mark Wilf said he supports Peterson's return to the team. Minnesota general manager Rick Spielman also said he wants Peterson to return to in 2015 and expects the running back to be a Viking.

Peterson is under contract with Minnesota for next season and is set to earn a $12.75 million base salary.

How this exchange could have gone:

Here I heard its always just about football.
Maybe not?
So much for quietly returning and wreaking havoc. (With play)

He got his whole salary for the year.

And won't take a paycut.

I have no doubt the Vikes want him to take a big cut for cap reasons(and I'm not talking about Munnerlyn)

In response to Adrian's pathetic efforts to portray himself as a victim I have crafted the following open letter ...

Dear Adrian,

Go F*** Yourself!!!

I can always turn it into a petition.

3rded.

You know guys, he really has been treated like a "slave" in his NFL career. [&o]

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (2/23/2015 3:05:18 PM)

You see this

12'3" standing broad jump at the combine

http://www.si.com/nfl/2015/02/23/nfl-combine-uconn-byron-jones-broad-jump-record

Is also actually a world record too

not that a lot of guys haven't done that(long jumpers) in the past, probably not documented

Trekgeekscott -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (2/23/2015 3:07:58 PM)

Once they can actually talk to AD themselves...I think they can smooth things over.  But it sounds like AD and co don't want things smoothed over.

Seriously, If he doesn't want to be here.  Then trade him to some shithole like Cleveland to toil next to Johnny Suckfall.   He may wish for a return of Christian Ponder before all is said and done.

Or a total suck hole like Oakland, that hasn't competed since BEFORE they got RANDY MOSS.

Or Buffalo, who hasn't seen a playoff game since the music city miracle.

The only way you trade him to JerryWorld is if Jerry agrees to a reverse of the Hershall Walker trade.  **** the Cowboys.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (2/23/2015 3:08:55 PM)

@DarrenWolfson
ESPN analyst Mark Dominik allegedly broke up the exchange between AP's agent & Brzezinski... & CBS Sports has the scoop. Classic. #vikings

SI.com post-draft mock

11. MINNESOTA
Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State

Even if the Adrian Peterson thing blows up and the Vikings lose him and they love Melvin Gordon … Mike Zimmer likes his front’s ability to pressure the quarterback. Now he wants a corner to play with Xavier Rhodes as his two long-term cover guys in a division with very good quarterbacking.

I disagree with SI. I think if Zimmer goes D is with a safety with Smith. We had such a terrible job there last year

We don't waste our time looking at Packer discards.
Wait ...

Nevermind.

Lynn G. -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (2/26/2015 4:39:16 PM)

It's not our fault that Packer players all want to play for the Vikings first chance they get. [:D]

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (3/2/2015 11:04:30 AM)

Probably should have a Packer thread.

Green Bay Packers cornerback Jarrett Bush was arrested for public intoxication early Sunday morning in northern California, according to ABC 2 WBAY. Vacaville, Calif., police told Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com that Bush will not be charged with anything.

According to police logs, Bush was booked with disorderly conduct under the influence after being taken into custody in Vacaville, Calif., approximately 60 miles northwest of San Francisco. In addition to the misdemeanor, Bush was given a $1,600 bail charge.

Bush will be on the open market once free agency starts - I wonder how he looks in purple?

The Vikes could sign him and Reggie.

And be as Bush as they usually are.

Naw, they should just trade for Jarius Byrd cause a Byrd in the hand is worth...

Oh, never mind.
