Looking back ..... ABSOLUTELY no reason AD didn't play pre-season football
Absolutely none.
Wrong to let him waltz back in like he's still a country clubber.

Well he wanted to ride that camel

A lot of sloppy play in Week 1.
The National Groupthink League is so annoying at times.

When I coach my NFL team the starters will play the following Preseason Schedule

Game 1-1/2 game
Game 2- 3/4 game
Game 3-3/4 Game
Game4-1/2 game

And we won't be Rusty Hilger in Week 1

I'm more like

Game 1 1/4
Game 2 1/2
Game 3 3/4
Game 4 9/10

Didn't see it, but Common usually has the most objective view of the Purple.

I was kind of pissed today when I flipped over to KFAN at 11:55 and Common was on. Why did he start early today? Apparently I missed an hour of his show. I CANNOT listen to PA, Wobby and Nordo. Unlistenable radio.

I'm sure PA wasn't on because of the time factor and west coast.

It was such PI, that even Dilfer said they refs had blown it.
Wallace had no use of his left arm reaching for the ball.

Trekgeekscott -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (9/15/2015 1:05:04 PM)

Common didn't watch then.

There was hand fighting all the way down the field but once in the endzone the db was swatting his hands down and never looked for the ball. The ball would have been caught for a 50 yd td had he not swatted his hands down. Textbook PI on the DB. Not calling it is just unbelievable.

Even Trent Dilfer, who was having an orgasm from the 49ers play said the DB got away with a blatant foul.

And I think the DB knew if he didn't interfere it was a TD. so take the penalty and hope the d can hold them from the 1 yard line.

What's even worse is for out of town fans like me.
That's all I see.
In fact last night was the first game I've seen Bridgewater play and now I'm not sure were not still looking for a QB.

Lynch's Mom calls Seattle, to fire OC Bevell

That's so awesome.
In so many ways.
Made a couple of those calls myself.
Good luck Mama Lynch.

Started thinking about all those ugly games.

I've watched nearly all of those. How silly of me.

Partially learned my lesson. Stopped at the 1/2 last night.

I'm likely to be doing something else, something constructive, during the game Sunday and having the radio on.

The job jar/honey-do list is pretty full.

Will be easier to take the frustrations out on trimming branches [:D]

MDK -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins fans (9/15/2015 5:30:30 PM)

Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in

I had grown weary of the Vikings after 4 super bowl losses

and then,

the 1998 season pulled me back in, only to witness the Falcons win, the Gary Anderson miss and of course, the knee.

the 2009 season almost brought me back

and then,

the disaster title game.

I'll be in the Cities on Sat. for the Twins game, staying overnight and going to Renaissance Festival Sunday. Will record game on DVR and watch it when I get home Sunday evening, so it will be like another primetime game. [sm=doh2.gif]

Marshawn Lynch's mom, Delisa Lynch, thinks Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell made the right call giving her son the ball on fourth-and-1 from the Rams' 43 in the team's 34-31 overtime loss Sunday to St. Louis.

Marshawn Lynch's mother, Delisa, said Darrell Bevell's play call Sunday was a makeup for what happened in February's Super Bowl. Tom Gannam/AP

But she also thinks Bevell should have been fired after last season's Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots.

In a post on her Facebook page, Delisa called Bevell "the worst playcaller ever" and suggested he gave the ball to Lynch in a critical spot Sunday to make up for the interception that ended Super Bowl XLIX.

"Too the smart azz media who wrote that's why marshawn didn't get the ball in the superbowl ,how many times did russell get sacked yesterday," Delisa wrote in the Facebook post. "Dont worry i will wait on the answer plus it was totally different at the superbowl the line was better than yesterday no blocking and to the offense caller who should have been fired yes i said it Fired !!! He is the worst play-caller ever the only reason he called that dumb azz play yesterday is to be able to justify the 1 yard that wasn't called in the superbowl ,but most fans already figured this out .were still on a mission but i know the Seahawks staff loves that play caller more than a win ,go figure ‪#‎nfldontpayme# I love this team and will stand up to anybody who tries to destroy it boom!!!!"

The Seahawks' offensive line was pushed back on the final play Sunday, and Lynch was stopped behind the line of scrimmage to seal St. Louis' win.

Just another reason to avoid FB and Twitter. It gives everyone a platform on things they aren't even involved with. And the media runs with it for some reason.

You gotta admit that the call at the end of the super bowl was pretty bad....but was it Bevell or Pete Carroll

I missed the Super Bowl. Was at a concert at the Turf Club in St. Paul. But I'll take your word for it.

Agree. And the philosophy that resting your starters because you don't want them to get hurt is BS. A player like Peterson is morely likely to get hurt coming into a regular season game playing rusty against other players on defense who are groomed and playing at full intensity. Not many players play with nearly the same intensity during preseason games. Therefore, the likelihood of injury should, at least theoretically, be suppressed to a certain extent.
