Wonder what they will talk about at halftime?

At least we won't be throwing up our thanksgiving turkey with the Vikings on TV since they have a bye next week.

And then they go into Seattle to destroy the Seahawks.[sm=lmao.gif][sm=lmao.gif][sm=lmao.gif][sm=lmao.gif]

If Denver can slice through this defense so easily, what will Russell Wilson do to this team?

The overall mentality of this team was summed up with one play. Miller jumps offside, giving Cousins a free play. He checks it down to Hamm. That is Zimmer's MO and why we will never be a factor in todays NFL.

And, they have been a no factor in how badly this team is today but 2 head scratchers, almost back-to-back from the refs.

Their guy makes the fair catch call, ball hits the ground and he picks it up and runs. No flag.

Their next punt Hughes makes a fair catch, has to dive to make it but the ball isn't any sort of fumble. He catches it clean even though he dove and they hog pile him and no flag [&o]

A multi billion dollar industry in which critical calls and games are decided by part time workers.

Makes a lot of sense.

Were they ever, truly, a top defense? Maybe statistically but they always seem to wilt in big moments. I don't have too many memories of them coming out and dictating games.

No team has blown a 20-point halftime lead since the San Francisco 49ers lost to the Chargers in Week 16 of the 2014 season.
According to ESPN Stats & Information, teams leading by 20 or more points at halftime are 400-13 (95-1 since the start of 2015). Collectively, NFL teams had won 97 straight games when leading by 20 or more points at halftime.

Really astounding, given how many ways the Vikings tried to lose this game. The amount of mental errors they overcame is mind blowing.

1. Hughes muffs two punts.
2. Terrible decision to run the kickoff out of the endzone ending in a fumble.
3. Stop them on 3rd and long, except Griffin gets called for hands to the face.
4. They are lined up to punt except Harris jumps off side.
5. Long completion negated by a hold.

I gotta hand it to Cousins. A TD on every 2nd half possession is damn impressive for a guy who can't really a team from behind.

There were a lot of bad plays all around. The first half may be, and I'm not joking, the worst 1/2 of Vikings football I've seen. We couldn't stop them and they made our D look like a lot of QB's have over the years.

2nd half was a very different story. Agree Tim on KC. He was money in that 2nd half.

And, I just got home but have been thinking about it since the game. WTF is it with Zimmer and his terrible defenses versus really mediocre or backup QB's? He's done well against some really good ones but the NTG's in the NFL give him absolute fits.

Look at the Mount Rushmore of failures or "don't belong in this league" scrubs that have given us troubles this year. Daniels/Moore/Allen today/Allen (Buffalo) last year. Jeez, even Trubisky skunked us last year.

We were about 30 minutes away from maybe the worst weekend of sports in Minnesota history.
And as we all know.
That's sayin somethin.
Glad to see Cousins and Diggs and a few others dig in and say Nope, not happening.
The inability to stop these offenses from gaining yards however and whenever they want, is maddening.
We've had bad defenses before, but not one that gives up these kind of frustrating drives.
We simply cannot stop anyone right now. Most times they are stopping themselves.
Dallas and Denver easily could have put up 40+ on us.
The old defensive genius over there needs to get his crap together.
Was strange to watch the Eagles and Pats defenses in the late game. They can all cover. They can all make stops. They can all make plays.

Just think how much worse the first half is if Denver really cashed in on the fumbles
Vikings shot themselves so many times in the half there was no foot left
