Mahomes May get to that Montana/Brady level at some point

It wouldn’t surprise me

2021 will mark 45 years since the Vikings won the NFC championship

And I’m betting that will be consecutive years

They lack the savvy speed and talent

All levels.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (2/3/2020 8:51:05 AM)

Still crazy to realize just retired Eli Manning won the Super Bowl TWO times.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (2/3/2020 8:53:52 AM)

Interesting to watch the ST innovation yesterday
All kickoffs were high and on the goal line, forcing returns, that almost always got stuffed short of the 20.
Teams who are constantly changing their attacks and approaches, are successful.
Some are leaders. We are followers.

Yup

Team speed

Covers kicks, first contact before the 20 nearly every time.

They should kickoff from the twenty yard line to encourage the KO return to the game that is one of the most exciting plays in football. Kicking it out of the end zone is equivalent to an intentional walk in baseball.

I was probably in the minority but I have loved watching Patrick Mahomes for the past 2 years. Yeah, he may be cocky but it seems to me that most winning QB's (the exception being Bart Starr) are cocky beginning with Joe Namath. I was also surprised that nobody commented on the article in the Strib before the Super Bowl. Seems to me that Patrick's mother played a key role in his upbringing. I also don't know why it surprised some to see LaTroy Hawkins at the Super Bowl but they must not have seen the article below.

http://www.startribune.com/chiefs-patrick-mahomes-emerges-from-the-deep-end-of-the-gene-pool/567446432/

The article is very good. Love the role LaTroy played in helping Patrick make the decision to leave early and go into the draft.

Getting back to cocky, I love Patrick Mahomes cockiness over the awe shucks bs of our Kirk Cousins who has to hear Gods plan before he makes a throw to a receiver.

I was not surprised to see LaTroy. I just thought it was cool.

Dom Capers is headed back to the NFC.

The Minnesota Vikings hired the longtime coach and coordinator to be a senior defensive assistant. He served in the same role for the Jaguars last season.

Capers' recent eight-year run (2009-17) as the Packers DC included a Super Bowl title and three conference championship game appearances. He was previously the DC with the Steelers, Jaguars and Dolphins. His success as an assistant led to a pair of head coaching opportunities.

Be careful what you wish for son

The quarterback market in the NFL could feature significant movement this offseason, and the Saints' Taysom Hill could be a valuable addition for a franchise.
Hill has spent the last three years as a dynamic all-purpose piece for the Saints, throwing for 119 yards and rushing for 352 since 2018. But the former BYU quarterback is eyeing a bigger role in 2020.
"I definitely view myself as a franchise quarterback," Hill told the Associated Press's Rob Maaddi. "I think as you look at the other questions: Is it New Orleans? Is it somewhere else? As you go into free agency, this is the time that you start to find out how people view you. We haven't gotten into free agency long enough to really know how these guys view me and we'll just handle it as it comes."
Hill could remain in New Orleans after restricted free agency this offseason, though he could be the odd man out with Sean Payton and Co. Drew Brees said on Jan. 26 that he will wait "a month or so" before deciding whether to return in 2020, and backup QB Teddy Bridgewater is an unrestricted free agent.

Baker accused of two parking lot trysts while engaged.

Dude

Rich NFL QB

Parking lot?!?

twinsfan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (3/16/2020 8:56:05 AM)

The Vikings have signed Kirk Cousins to a 2-year extension.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (3/16/2020 9:33:23 AM)

That should end well

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (3/16/2020 9:36:08 AM)

It won't start real pretty, either …..

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (3/16/2020 9:44:38 AM)

True.

The middle probably will be fugly as well.

Just a great, all-around event!

IF they play this year.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (3/16/2020 11:14:55 AM)

CJ Ham got a 4-year deal

Just based on the job and such, if he's the fullback at the end of year 4, good for him.

SoMnFan -> RE: Vikes talk for Twins Fans (3/16/2020 11:22:16 AM)

Incredible path for him, from a small school in SD
Good on him, errr, Ham.
