She's a Hollywood kid so I will say the Dodgers.

Nope. Want to try again?

Not really.

OK. The correct answer is the Miami Marlins.

Try this one. Paula Deen is a fan of what major league baseball team?

Since she's from Georgia, I would guess the Braves

I would have guessed the same, Trekkie. I even went to her restaurant in Savannah. Crazy though, she is a fan of the Washington Nationals!!

I've been to her restaurant in Savannah as well. I wasn't really that impressed.

twinsfan -> RE: Baseball Trivia (1/6/2020 6:51:14 PM)

Name the pitcher that appeared in the last game of the 70s and the last game of the 80s.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Baseball Trivia (1/6/2020 7:00:11 PM)

Jack Morris

twinsfan -> RE: Baseball Trivia (1/6/2020 7:33:14 PM)

Don Robinson appeared in the final game of the 1979 WS (as a member of the Pirates) and the final game of the 1989 WS (as a member of the Giants).

twinsfan -> RE: Baseball Trivia (1/7/2020 8:59:35 AM)

Name the lone member of the Pittsburgh Pirates to win the Rookie of the Year.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Baseball Trivia (1/7/2020 9:04:22 AM)

Dave Parker

twinsfan -> RE: Baseball Trivia (1/7/2020 9:05:32 AM)

Nope. Jason Bay.

Who was the last 18-yeard old to hit a home run in a regular season game?

Kid from Atlanta

Is that true? I have a different answer.

twinsfan -> RE: Baseball Trivia (1/7/2020 9:20:32 AM)

Nope, Soto was 19

Juan Soto, the teenage phenom for the Washington Nationals, is following some heady footsteps in the major leagues.

In his first career start, the 19-year-old slugged a 422-foot, three-run, home run on the first pitch he saw from San Diego Padres starter Robbie Erlin.

"'I'm ready,'" Nationals manager Dave Martinez recalled Soto saying. "I said, 'I know you are.'"

Soto is only two games into his major league career, and it's far too soon to project much beyond the fact that he's a very exciting young player.

twinsfan -> RE: Baseball Trivia (1/7/2020 9:21:17 AM)

Sweeney should know this. The year was 1974. Right in his wheelhouse.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Baseball Trivia (1/7/2020 9:21:25 AM)

Bryce Harper

Mr. Ed -> RE: Baseball Trivia (1/7/2020 9:21:56 AM)

Dave Parker[8D]

Mr. Ed -> RE: Baseball Trivia (1/7/2020 9:22:49 AM)

Rennie Stennett

One of my all time favorite names

twinsfan -> RE: Baseball Trivia (1/7/2020 9:25:18 AM)

Great tries. None correct. Stennett did debut quite young (20).

Mr. Ed -> RE: Baseball Trivia (1/7/2020 9:25:54 AM)

Bob Gorinski

twinsfan -> RE: Baseball Trivia (1/7/2020 9:26:35 AM)

I'll give you the team. Brewers.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Baseball Trivia (1/7/2020 9:27:15 AM)

Sixto Lezcano

Mr. Ed -> RE: Baseball Trivia (1/7/2020 9:27:31 AM)

Robin Yount
