Apparently Jeffers is only being promoted due to injury at FTM, as Rodriguez takes Diaz' spot

Lewin Diaz placed on the Ft. Myers DL with a fractured thumb. Injured last night on a play at 1B after a bunt.

Rooker needs to work some things out before he comes up here. Sano tore up the minor leagues, just like Rooker is now. He also struck out a lot, just like Rooker is now. Rooker is on pace to strike out about 200 times in a full season's worth of AB., so far. The strike outs tend to carry into the majors more than the HR and RBI. I'm real happy with Rooker's development, but fix the hole in his swing before giving major league pitchers a chance to destroy him.

Yeah why not. He was the best hitter in his draft. Didn't he play three or four years in college. No reason to make him toil in the minors too long. I guess he strikes out too much.

The low strike out numbers that go along with the awesome stats kind of indicate that he is ready for AA. If he has holes in his swing, high A pitchers sure aren't finding them.

Alex Kirilloff probably doesn't care, but he's making baseball look a lot easier than it is.

The Twins' third-ranked prospect homered and drove in two runs in his third straight three-hit game as Class A Advanced Fort Myers defeated Jupiter, 4-1, on Tuesday night at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.

Kirilloff also walked and is batting .525 with 11 extra-base hits, 13 runs scored and nine RBIs in his last 10 games.
