WTF is Toby Gardenhire still affiliated with this franchise?

Asinine....Manager, Fort Myers.....Thinking that Daddy Ron told him that his best chance to make it would be to stay with Minnesota and move up the chain rather than going somewhere else!

Toby scares me to consider the country club mentality is alive and well.

The new regime should fired every single person that had anything to do with the game.

Coaches Trainers Medical. All shown the door.

Like fumigation of an infested house.

I wanted the house cleaning too, but Toby's last name does not mean he manages like his Dad. Pinky and the Brain won't keep a manager in the organization, who doesn't use analytics in his decision making and teaching. Papa Ron, viewed analytics the way the rest of us viewed Nick Punto.

Ryan Saunders with the Wolves is an example of not necessarily like father like son. He is very actively working to steer the Wolves away from the offense his father used to run.

Toby doesn't scare me at all---he could be the exact opposite coach as Gardy......Getting rid of Mientkewicz makes me think Toby is more forward thinking.

MLB Hot Stove thinks we might be players for Kimbrel (I doubt it)....Now Realmuto at $5.9 million /year----I can see that. I wouldn't include the top 3 in any deal. I would be open to Kepler, Gordon, and Garver.

Pretty much any prospect outside of Lewis, Kirilov and Graterol.

Personally, I think he might washed up...not a great record last part of the last season.

That is why I said splashy as I'm not certain about how good he actually is now. However, last season could just turn out to be a fluke.

So now you see the no win situation Falvey and Levine are in when it comes to fan reactions.

They sign him and he struggles, "Why'd we get this guy at the end of his career? Didn't they look at what he did last year?"

They don't sign him, "We never sign a big name!!! Cheap!!! Please spend some money on pitching!!!"

Chase De Jong has been DFA'd. Life is so unfair.

Worst current contracts on all 30 teams

27. Minnesota Twins: Phil Hughes (1 year, $5.95 million)

You can't have any bad contracts when you don't sign anybody to long-term deals. The Twins' past two offseasons have been curious as they've had all kinds of payroll flexibility and yet have played it more conservatively. Anyway, the Twins are flushing $5.95 million down the toilet on Hughes, who is no longer on the roster. They're not even paying the highest percentage of Hughes' salary: The Padres will pay him $7.25 million not to pitch for them.

I don't think the Twins can sign him until after the season starts because they exercised their buyout option.

I've finally figured out why Matt likes Common
Him and Rosen currently ripping on callers who are ripping on the Pohlads.

Wetmore on SKOR North 1500 is even better at it. And I love him too!
