How is this even possible?

Gregg Rosenthal@greggrosenthal
Mike Evans, 25, is now somehow the Bucs’ all-time leader in receiving yards.

Adam Harstad@AdamHarstad
Replying to @greggrosenthal
If Jameis Winston, 24, merely hits his career averages the rest of the way, he'll end the season as Tampa's all-time leader in passing yards, too.

Chucky is a slightly more likable Thibs.

Game has passed him by (and he was never that great to start with).

That team has never had long term options at quarterback or wide receiver, much less good ones. Its actually a shame how that franchise was run for almost 30 years.

Its almost unfathomable.

In 43 years of existence, guys that will have played 4 and 5 years will be their all-time leading passer and receiver.

And Keyshawn Johnson was on their team for quite a few years IIRC.

It's not like they've always had bad QBs. I mean, they've had Doug Williams, Vinny Testaverde, Steve Young, Brad Johnson, Trent Dilfer (snicker)

Just none of them have ever stayed long or had success for the Bucs.

Some went on to very good careers or just showed up for a year or two there after a decent career already existed.

Young went on the HOF.

I did not see the incident last night where the fan threw the beer at the Chiefs player. I saw a statement by the Patriots that the fan was identified and sent a "letter of dis-invite" for future games. Seems pretty lame to me. Did the Chiefs player provoke him?

Which part was lame to you? The beer throw or being banned?

But no he did not provoke (imo). Hill was running about 35 mph, ran through the endzone up to the edge of the stands where he kinda braced himself against it to stop. I guess he could have stopped earlier, but nothing provocative. Immediately after hitting the wall the beer came flying.

The rich get richer:

Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter
Jaguars are trading former first-round pick Dante Fowler to the LA Rams, per source.

Tom Pelissero@TomPelissero
As we've discussed all day, there was strong interest from Fowler for multiple teams. He's in a contract year. Price came down over past 24 hours and #Jaguars found a match in #Rams, who keep up their aggressive dealing.

Rams or Saints probably take the NFC.

Unless maybe Carolina or the Eagles.

All wins count the same in the #nfl, but not all wins are created equal. What the #colts OL did to the #cowboys DL was a straight up a$$ kicking. Have to say I was not expecting that.

Let's hope, if the Vikes make the playoffs, they start with Dallas.

Zeke, Prescott and Cooper scare me a little bit, but I think a team coached by Jason Garrett is always beatable.

Years and tears Indy neglected their oline possibly worse than Spielman.

But have hit some guys in the draft. mainly Quentin Nelson. Talk of him winning ROY

The colts shut them out. We can shut them down too. But lets get there first.

I agree. I'm not talking playoffs until we get there. This team is so helter/skelter it's tough to figure who's going to show up. I can easily see any of the following happening next week:

We whoop their asses
We outplay them but have 5 TO's that doom us in a tight game
We have the same tight game and and Bailey goes 1-6 on FG's, we lose
Our punter misses the flight and we don't realize it until it's 3rd and 8 and we swing it out to Hamm for a 3 yard gain

Literally, this team is mystery week in/out.

That's a great line!

As for being guarded about not taking it one game at a time...meh, we're fans...it matters not.

Interesting how quickly the tenor of NFL football games have returned towards the mean ...
12-9 games like last night, involving 2 of the supposed GREAT offenses
Teams who looked unbeatable early on, looking human lately.
This is the thing that makes pro sports, in particular, so fascinating to me.
A guy comes up in MLB and tears it up first time thru the league. Next time thru, flails like a little leaguer.
teams in the NFL look unstoppable, weeks later, lots of three-and-outs.
Give good coaches time to study film, digest what hot individuals and teams are doing, and next thing you know ... we are right back to reality.
I've never had much patience, but it is the one thing constant about pro sports. Eventually, the sharp people rise to the top and do their jobs well.

Well said and I agree 100%. I will add that a good coach shouldn't be afraid to be the one to push the trend early if it works (i.e. go balls out on offense). Take advantage of it and then get ready to adjust as the league catches up to you.

and then ... what really stands out is the guys willing to throw the 4th-and-1 halfback pass for the 50 yard td, like happened last night

Norv Turner? oh my ...
Great call

Just love the creativity, which has seemed to increase ten-fold the last two years, thanks in large part to Doug Pederson.

Watched the hit on Trubisky that started fight in SF.

What are defenders supposed to do? Another late slide with defenders coming at him full bore.

I hope Harry nails him again next week.

Raiders hire Mayock as GM. Gonna be an interesting team to watch if nothing else over the next 5 years.
