Not defending Mixon but he was physically attacked by an amazon woman.

But he was a complete idiot to hit her.

I trust Spiels and Zim will vett him properly that he has changed his ways.

Has anyone watched enough LSU football to have a good opinion of that Pocic kid? He appears to be really tall for a center, but a lot of Fournette's big runs started with a block from him. Maybe he could be had with our 2 or earliest 3.

I have not.

But read a lot of scouting reports and if we get both T positions sewed up in FA we are in need of a COTF.

I'm told #Vikings meeting with Joe Mixon went "very well". RB also has a meeting with the #Raiders.

That is unless Mixon slides.
If he slides to one of our two Round 3 picks, it's probbaly worth some Pre Draft Vetting.

If he shows any inclination as a non team guy, I move on.
All part of the process though.

The video:

He walks into the place and confronts her. To his credit he appears to be about to walk away after saying his piece. She pushes him, he snaps/lunges at her, she slaps him, he DECKS her and walks off.

Bad judgement from everyone involved, but you NEVER do what he did. NEVER.

Its definitely not self defense.

Not self defense and inexcusable on his part.
Extremely bad judgement on her part as well on video alone and without knowing what happened outside.

No,
Ray Rice hit his wife.
I assume all wives antagonize at times and some even harrass their husbands at times.
None of them deserve to be hit for that.

Precisely. What I've been saying for five years.

Look no further than New England. As long as you can run, catch, block, not fumble and understand your role, they don't care who is in the backfield.

I did hear that this is a good year for drafting a center. Of course, most centers are not taken in the first two rounds and I'm good with taking one in the third round or later. I don't know if Easton is the answer for the future, but he could take another step forward in his development, (which happens a lot on the offensive line) so the center we possibly draft could be like that- a prospect that we develop, but don't expect to start in year one.

As of lately the better rated C have been going in the teens

Kelly last year to the Colts at 17 and both Pouncy's also went around that area.

I would not recommend anybody walk up to anybody, especially late at night after drinking and start an argument.
If I had a son or daughter in college I would think they would know better.
If someone did and then pushed them, then things may turn bad, in this case they did.

I'd take Mixon with one of our 3rds

We must draft the best Oline prospect on the board with pick 48.

Years of neglect has pigoened holed us

count me in and I am fine with Mixon at 48. Murph explained my view best.

Suck deal "winning" the coin toss. I would have liked to have lost that and gotten the 46 pick versus the 48. Damn Philly gotta be loving 14 versus 15 or 16.

Might cost us nothing. Might cost us everything. All depends on who we want and if that person makes it to 48.

If pick #48 is used for anything other than offensive line, I will be pissed!

Call me disciplined or call me crazy, but I'm a best player available as long as it's in the realm of need and our team has several needs. Offensive line is the biggest need, for sure. As much as I like the idea of getting a great running back who will start and possibly star in year one, I see it as a position where very good ones can be found later, too.

Take Mixon at 48! He will be the highest rated player on their board at a position of need.

I suspect he will be gone before our picks do to Elliot's success in Dallas last year. If people clear him for the Felony Melanie incident they will not wait to take him. He is less risk than Randy Gregory was. RG went middle second round with top 5 talent. I would not be worried about Mixon screwing up. Kid made a big mistake, but hasn't had anything close to that since. If people have no problem with Winston the Raper going #1, they should have no worries in this league about Mixon. I would argue that if you feel strongly about this you protest the whole league for JWinston. FSU made sure he had virtually no consequences. Mixon sat out a year, and was under a microscope the rest of his career. The only incident since that anyone can even bring up is being upset over a parking ticket. You have to pay for that with meal money folks. Ask some of these guys about the days they are short on food.

My point is protest or accept it all. To pick and choose your incidents in hypocrisy. I seriously hope that JWinston never wins a championship. He destroyed that young lady's life. The Mixon gal seemed to want to act like a man in a confrontation. Walter's site has him mad at her for rejecting his advances. I have never seen anything about that. If that were true I would be a little more sympathetic to her.
