If you can't say it was 'just one mistake' in a court setting when it was your daughter that had her face rearranged then your endorsement rings hollow.

Never had a sister or daughter. I wonder how that changes things ....

Would you want him on our team?

Here's a good debate: who's more of a scumbag, AP or Mixon (rules state one has to be more of a scumbag than the other)?

AD might be more messed up. There's a culture to it I don't understand or agree with it and things passed on from one generation to the next involved with AD. There's a volatility to Mixon's deal that makes it stand out as worse to me. I'd have a hard time ever trusting someone that can pop like that.

My question is why wasn't he allowed at the combine when it happened a few years ago? Don't underestimate the other RB (Perrine) either.

Politics. The NFL doesn't want him in their league and thus did not invite Mixon or Kelly for that matter to the combine. But they can not stop teams from drafting these players.

I have two daughters and if one of them had been stupid enought to hit an athlete in the throat like that during a drunken fit, I'd say she probably won't make that mistake again.

Sorry, it is what it is. The girl bears just as much responsibility in this case. I refuse to act like she was some innocent bystander. She was the one who made the entire situation physical. It didn't have to go down like that.

Word of Achilles injury to first-round CB Sidney Jones at Huskies pro day. Just brutal.

Washington's Budda Baker said the injury to Sidney Jones occurred on the last defensive back drill of the day.

We could forget the glitter RB and pick for the trenches. However, the money they committed to Reiff and Remmers means they will be around a while.

So with OL vs. RB, it seems to be (in no order):

- OT to groom (say to start in 2-3 years)
- G or C with more immediate expectations (C to start once Berger gets to 1/4 tank)
- RB

After watching highlights of RB Mixon, he is my #1 choice at #48. Sadly, he isn't getting out of the 1st round.

As bad as we are at picking Olineman maybe we should build are oline with FA's and fill are other needs through the draft.

Mixon could really help our offense right out of the gate.

Sounds like if we had our 1st round pick we'd probably be in play for Mixon. With Spielman reading the draft to see if he could move down and still get him.

Hope this one gets played around us. Watch what this becomes on another team. I'm sure it will be revisited.

The other thing I hope doesn't play out is an attempt to get in the 1st round for a T. Just so not the year to do it.

Other than those two things I'll just let it play out and see what we get.

I like him too.
The knock is that he is already wearing down (see above).

685 carries in 3 years.

Might last to the 4th though.

40 reception in 36 games is concerning as well.

Yep, although his (Perine's) hands looked fair to decent at combine; no double clutching that I saw.

Do you think the Wilfs can get past Mixon's history after AD's "issue"?

Seems like his tape gets someone to bite by the end of 1st...but the draft is crazy to try and predict, esp someone like Mixon.

Despite who drafts Perine he is more likely to be a part of a RB by committee.

Certainly not a bell cow.

If he is there in the 5th I'd consider him provided we've already secured a #1 type.

If a guy like Forrest Lamp is there at #48, you take him. I think he'll be gone but you never know. Dion Dawkins, Pat Elflein or Dan Feeney would be my next choice. Offensive line is a must with our opening pick. Anything else is nuts given what I saw last year.

Opening third should be a corner or lineman. Rasul Douglas or Tre'Davious White type of guy (corners). That, or a guy like Nico Siragusa (OG). The OT from Pitt (Bisnoawty) could also be there in the late third pick.

Can you imagine how much better our line would be with the two free agents we landed and Elflein and Siragusa?

I like Perine, but I'd wait till our second 4th rounder to draft him if indeed he's still there.

The tape doesn't lie, Mixon jumps off the tape with his combination of speed/ elusiveness, and his unbelievable receiving skills.

Perine pretty much runs over the tape. He's a banger with a little get up, and go, but saw very little in the way of receiving skills.

Mixon would be our version of Ezekial Elliott. Which doesn't mean he'll necessarily be as successful with our OLine.

I think there are a lot of running backs who could have been successful running behind that Cowboys offensive line.
