There're going against air right now but Thielen looks very very quick out of his breaks as well as another 10 pounds of muscle to his frame

Michael Floyd beat Rhodes deep but dropped the pass.

Michael Floyd just demolished Mackensie Alexander on a post-corner for a deep TD

First practice for #Vikings and Riley Reiff leaves on a golf cart. Didn't see if anything happened. Went to medical tent prior and returned.

I think this kid may just be 'wound' too tight. Constantly getting dinged up.

First Riley Reiff, now Jerick McKinnon is leaving practice early. #KFANVikes

He hasn't. She was responding to the first time he left to go to the medical tent, before he came back and then was (golf) carted off.

Hopefully, these are just those bumps and bruises that happen the first few days of training camp.

I like Treadwell being aggressive with his downfield blocking. Now, he just has to catch some passes and we're all set.

Nobody has been talking about Cayleb Jones, but it sounds like he's a player. This was a huge draft year for receivers and perhaps he's one that got lost in the mix, to our benefit.

Sounds like both of the rookie receivers are showing some ability so far.

Mike Zimmer told KFAN radio that Riley Reiff, who left practice early today, is all right after a "twinge."

I need to make a correction. Jones is not a rookie, but a second year player. I was correct saying he was undrafted, but he was a practice squad player for us last year that we claimed from the Eagles.

A "twinge?"

Twinge - a sudden, sharp localized pain. Isn't that what Teddy felt? If we could get through non-contact drills unscathed, that would be awesome.

He might not be the most self-aware guy on the team...

Vikings WR Jarius Wright calls anyone who says he will be cut an ‘idiot’

The Vikings wide receiver barely played last season. Still, he believes it’s nonsense to speculate he might get cut.

“I’m tired of hearing about ‘Will Jarius Wright make the 53-man roster?’ ‘’ Wright said on the first full-squad day of training camp at Minnesota State Mankato. “So it’s just getting old now. I’ve been the same player since I got here (in 2012). I continue to make plays, and if you think I’m a slouch, then you don’t watch football, and so that makes you an idiot.’’

------

Last season, though, Wright got into just eight games and caught just 11 passes for 67 yards.

------

Wright said Zimmer never has given him a reason why he didn’t play last season. Told what Zimmer said about Diggs, Wright said he still should have played more.

“Regardless of who is the slot, you make room for your playmakers,’’ Wright said.
