Key to beating the Packers is twofold.
1. Keep Rodgers in the pocket. It's when he gets outside the pocket that he becomes the most dangerous. Keep him from escaping the pocket and you limit his effectiveness.
2. Don't make stupid mistakes. Don't jump early, Rodgers is a master of taking advantage of that. Don't give them one free yard. They will take advantage.
Esp at the most inopportune times. No jumping offside on 3rd and short.
Make them earn every 1st down.
The volume and type of penalties they've had in some games suggests the team isn't disciplined, which ultimately makes it look like the coach hasn't instilled discipline in the team. Zim doesn't seem like the type of coach that would let that slide, but yet they continue to get stupid penalties at the worst times. In close matchups, they can't afford to give away yards, downs or scores that result from those types of mistakes.
I can almost guarantee that Rodgers will get Everson Griffen to jump off-sides at least once, if not twice.
The over/under is 2.5.
Which begs the question, how does the coach get his team (Griff) to be more disciplined when he has the propensity to jump off sides? Yell, scream, call him a fcuker, run laps, put your arm around him ....
