Give me a G who has excelled at G, not a T who "could" (i.e. who knows?) move to G. Yeah, there is the versatility thing, T is more valuable, yadda, yadda. But we have to shore up the interior so minimize the risks. Ford does sound intriguing though.

This assumes Rieff's cap hit is too high for him to be cut.

It does say that Ford moved from guard to tackle just this last season.

The 2019 draft is looking very defensively top heavy. What is the situation with Olineman, could we trade down and still get the guy(s) we want?

RS saw the run on OL last year as unprecedented. Safe knowing it won't happen again AND so as long as he has identified a 'cluster' of options, he damn well better look to fleece Miami as a minimum

If we're lucky, we could pick up Greg Little at 18. He's a big tackle who moves really well, and has played against top tier college talent. There will be several guards in 2 and 3 that we could look at.

Sounds like the draft is teeming with mid-first round starters! While there may not be a bunch of QBs going high, a bunch of defenders will.

Like a Quija Board, this thread will set the break for OL around pick 15-16 to allow the obligatory creation of built-in angst, thousands of posts screaming we need to trade up, then sweating out a couple of selections for several months.

Any good CBs that could fall out of the top 10 to 18, or any that look like very nice mid round value at 18 ?

What about a good DT at 18 to replace Richardson, and possibly the aging Joseph ?

We can always pick up Ronnie Hillman to play on the offensive line.

This was the dumbest joke you ever stated when you originally said it...and it still is.

Time to retire it.

People claim to watch games..

Then they want to pick up or draft anything BUT offensive linemen...

Hoiseth and his corners, jandro and his lbers, Marty and any wr ever born

This team needs to protect the Qb and be able to gain a fn yard on second and inches or anything and goal..

Pixie dust and unicorns ain’t cutting it in the NFL

Fk the sexy pick.. draft rhinos... hippos... Brahma Bulls, any god damn thing that can block..

Amen!!!

My first three rounds would be OLine Oline Oline and maybe a possible replacement for Cousins if a good one was available.

You have to resign Barr with this plan.

Leave that to the genius capologist, Brez

Yep offensive line would be the smart move.

Then grab a Qb for developmental reasons because not only is cousins gone at eoc, he might get killed or maimed behind our ol as it stands, then where are we?

Offering money to Bradford again?

Trying to convince Philadelphia to let us trade for one of theirs?
Searching the scrap heap for a plug-n-play QB?

I think they will go OL, TE, OL.

Now the TE thing isn't certain if Zimmer hires a fellow old fart as OC. But a field stretching TE will open up the passing game and take heat off the running game. Cousins is good at play action.

Throw Rudolph out there once in a while like one of those electric football guys who spun in circles (actually I think he needs to be a cap casualty).

You are right Dan, I was asking for WRs a few years ago, but now we are set at WR 1 and 2, will never need one again, Diggs and Theilen will never get hurt the next 3 years.

Of course I agree that OL is the strongest need, other than maybe QB. I won't mind if they go QB, if a future great QB is there at #18.

If people know a QB is going to be a "future great", he'll be long gone by 18.

Theilen is getting a bit too big for his britches IMO. Your celebrations are ill-timed and exaggerated. Shut your trap about it being there all F***** day. As for your breakdown with the QB, it looked like the Bears DB knew you were going to TRY to cut and he played you like a fool. The ball was out and you couldn't get there. Freakin Cosins had to show you how to do your footwork and what was needed. You are not Moss nor Carter (who continually rode Culpepper).

I love how people spin their chit when called.. that’s the only thing Hoiseth has integrity on.. he believes it’s CB’s That make a defense and he a.ways preaches that line.

He can be wrong about QB’s and wr’s and RB’s till the cows have been made into shoes and belts, but Cornerback... never..

Marty goes mr hyperbole, trying to spin that we never need another wide receiver, ever?

Gtfoohwts.

Diggs was a late round find by who? Oh yea that guy who sucks so bad at drafting, and who the **** offered a UDFA a starters level money contract as a wide receiver?

Zimmer?

Stfu.

Steve Lentz and a couple other people have been calling for Serious OL investments since STRINGER died an Hutchison retired and Birk went to the Ravens..

That’s a long fkin drought that Matt Khalil was just someone pissing down our backs about.

Bryant lardass McKinney and Matt “my shit is manna from heaven” Birk both have SB winners rings, yet randy moss does not.

It’s time that people realize that no offensive scheme or game plan works without good linemen and a coach who can teach techniques.

It does say that Ford moved from guard to tackle just this last season.

He played guard his first two season but both were injury plagued (if I remember correctly). I think he broke leg/ankle/lower extremity barely into the 2017 season.
