If I’m the Vikings I sign Dan Bailey tonight.

Another swing and a miss by Spielman in the draft for a Kicker. When will this guy learn? A 16 point swing all because of awful special teams play.

At least Cousins proved he can be clutch.

Bailey's agent will get the Vikings and Browns in a bidding war for his services...

Glad Zimmer mentioned Green Bay continually getting away with holding by their tackles.

Next man up is Zylstra, but I wouldn't mind Beebe either.

I like Beebe, but Zylstra is next man up, let's see what he's got.

2 pretty glaring drops but he was open today more than he ever has been. Nice TD.

If you are Bailey, would you rather play for the Vikings or the Browns? I would play for less for the Vikings.

Pro football reference lists his last transaction as Aug 20th cut by Vikings.

2 glaring drops last week too. And I’m not sure his TD catch was clean...

Some people like to give Spielman a lot of grief, but Carlson was one of the top kickers available in the draft. Spielman has made moves to develop a good roster with some good depth. Good recent acquisitions include Cousins, Richardson, and Hughes. Hunter and Cook are great young talents.

Anybody still questioning the Cousins move. Spielman looks damn good there. How many throws did he make Keenum couldn't have?
He out played Rodgers at Green Bay.

He doesn't deserve to be fired over it, but drafting a kicker with a 5th round pick is just plain stupid. There are journeymen available every year who can do an effective job.

And none of his completions was the butt blind lucky variety like Keenum got away with last year.

Exactly.

I'd take an average, experienced (with game pressure) K every time.

I don't care how any of these young, drafted (stupid) kickers look in practice or even the preseason. Give me a guy that is proven not to rattle.

Aside from a big KR from Hughes, the special teams were a complete disaster. Directly cost us 16 points.

I'd be overjoyed with average special teams play at this point. They don't have to be great, they just should never be the reason you lose a game.

that was exactly the right thing to do

three missed field goals not the play calling or clock management lost us the game

Agreed.

Carlson made a good percentage of kicks in some pressure situations at Auburn.
