So we get to fly back from Philly and play the Kings tonight
Oh boy.

I'd imagine the Kings have been here for a day and will be well rested just waiting to pound on the Wild. I don't know if I even want to tune in for a little bit to see the carnage.

Stalock got us one
Then he got us two
Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Love how he moves the puck
Its like having 3 D out there
Really didn't think we'd score on Quick in the SO
Was a fun result. Could have been 4-5-6 to 2 if we had any real scorers.
Greenway was once again outstanding.

I know Suter and Parise signed 13 year deals. I saw the details last night (if it was correct) and they really don't make much money at all in years 12 and 13 (1 or 2 million dollars).

So in 4 years they should have some good flexibility.

That doesn't matter. The salary cap hit is the same for every year of the contract. The NHL takes the total dollars and divides it by the total years and the result is the yearly cap hit.

Fun game to watch, for a change!

Between the Kings and the Jets, we just seem able to get "up" for them lately.
(unless it's the play-offs!)

Bad teams, not so much.

Glad BB gave Kunin a chance in shoot-out after the crossbar clank had him muttering.

Wish we'd see more Kunin and Greenway in OT and PP and less #9 and #20.
(although Sutes hasn't been as slow directing PP this year, in terms of holding puck before shooting, or is that my imagination?)

Sent out a scathing text during OT last night ... WTH is KOIVU doing out there?
That ship has sailed.
We survived somehow.
LA is scuffling and down, but they still possess some awesome talent.
I agree kevin, it was a solid effort

Granny is going thru his annual getting-tossed-around-like-a-rag-doll stage again.

Oh, and this one might get me shot .... but thinking Parise is ANY kind of offensive threat is another glaring mistake on BB's part imo.
He's simply not an offensive talent
Spurgeon is a better choice

Agreed. If Granny had elite skating skills to go with his hands he would be fine, but he doesn't and it shows when bigger players beat on him.
As for Parise, I agree there too. He is tenacious and hard working, but not an elite scoring talent by any means. What goals he gets are from hard work and being willing to go to the front of the net and take a beating.

#9 is such a dog on Offense, I swore out loud when he hit the ice in OT.

Just a Body; Captain JAB. Or Capt Hook; he stops moving his feet a lot, leans over and does the hooky-lu.

Nino had more jump in his game last night.
Seems like he lost his eye-hand coordination after the injury, weird.

The problem is that the salary cap hasn't increased much especially compared to what NBA, MLB, and NFL teams earn. It has only gone up 10 million since 12-13. (from 70 million to about 80 million).

The Wild picked up forward Pontus Aberg from the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday, sending minor league forward Justin Kloos in return.

Aberg has 11 goals and eight assists in 37 games for the Ducks this season, but has been a healthy scratch the past four games with Anaheim in a 12-game losing streak. The 25-year-old was the second-round pick (37th overall) of Nashville in 2012 when Wild General Manager Paul Fenton ran the Predators draft, and played in 18 playoff games in Nashville.

Yippee! Now we're on our way......

Great trade.
Aberg immediately becomes maybe in our top 3 scorers
Kloos was a great HSer and is probably going to be a lifetime AHLer

Fenton can.

But, but, Dubes is "just tired".

Happens every year though BB, and you continue to play the crap out of him!

If that's the case, NTG has been exhausted since the start of the season.
