Rough one eh
Kind of the Tampa game in reverse.
Sharks are the real deal. We weren't last night.
Always find it interesting to see how refs treat us.
Hint : it aint good.
Apparently, a punch to throat directly in sight of the referee is ok, as long as its done TO the Wild players.
Oh, and off sides is only off sides against some teams.
Anyway, thanks NBC, for pointing out how it was wrong, but it was made right because they asked about it. Ok, all good then.

With this team, what the refs do just doesn't matter any more. We are such a shit-show most of the time at home I wonder why people still go......
Fenton's boys from Nashville for the most part suck. Rask and Ahberg should be in Iowa at best, yet are getting PP time. Fiala and Donato look to be the real deal, but other than them, Fenton's moves have done nothing but hand cuff BB with a load of 4th line players. This home stand is what will seal the deal and knock us out of the playoffs. Good! Maybe some lost revenue will wake up the front office.....

The bad part of that ...is that we aren't even good at sucking.
All this awful hockey, and we still stay in the last spot.
The teams competing for that last spot are brutal.
I'm also holding out on Fiala and Donato, not sad about what we did there. But agree wholeheartedly that Rask and Aberg are quite worthless.

Rask is about as worthless as Nada was for us this year for about a million dollars less and one fewer year. I'm not losing any sleep over that deal.

Agreed on Rask and Aberg.

Would absolutely like to see some of our Iowa boys up instead.

I hope Kunin comes back soon, we need him.

Sadly, Ek and Greenway have to carry us right now and they didn't show up.

Stripes were pathetic, again.

I hate watching Burns play and wondering what if Fletcher wasn't such a dumb-ass.

JT Brown had 3-4 glorious set-ups in 1st 2 periods last night and couldn't even get shots off.

Classic Wild Player.

…. workin out some kinks.

Every time I want to give BB a pass on everything, he does something like leave Spurgeon OFF the PP (at least the first unit)
Ummm, why?
With granny gone, probably the slickest-handling player on the squad
Plus, he's responsible defensively in case of opposing breakouts.
Its puzzling.
Everyone always wants to use 5 forwards for the damn thing. Spurg is the best of both worlds. Use him.

Sorry, but Parise isn't a PP guy.

Neither is Suter. His slow entries are part of our problem. And then, when all of sudden he gets past the picket fence like he did last night, he's 1 on 0 and hasn't a clue what to do. LOL

Their performance at home is really frustrating.

And now, it is in their heads.

Only way to change is for the coach to make some wholesale changes at home.

Maybe line formations at home should be done the way Billy Martin's approach to shake up a lackluster lineup

During the 1977 Major League Baseball season, New York Yankees manager Billy Martin jumpstarted his struggling team by literally picking his batting order out of a hat.

Getting ugly at home Boys!

I wouldn't hamstring Greenway or anyone for that matter with Rask and Aberg.

Anchors away!

Read or Rau or a half of the Iowa roster would be better than those two.

It's well past time for, how did SMF put it, "Red Face Moon Pie" to figure it out and put the best players available to him on the ice for these last 11 games.

Sit the non-performers now!
We need a spark and Aberg/Rask are the opposite.

Rau and Read would be good start.

(I honestly don't know the Iowa roster well at all)

The Zucker knee injury didn't look good, but he's back on the bench, so we caught a break there.

I missed the game, so naturally they decided to put forth some effort it sounds like....
Glad to hear Zucker didn't get hurt as it looked pretty bad. He must be very flexible, as I recall another incident a few games back where it looked like his knee got injured but he came right back there too.
Wild have to pretty much win out from here or dust off the clubs.....which will it be boys?

Good performance on O. Donato continues to impress. Kid isn't afraid to shoot it. We finally have one of those mythical beasts we've been reading about since our inception. Spurgeon again showing why he's a must on the PP.

Yet, once again, our warts are fully exposed. Dubnyk with yet another 'dubnyk moment'. Stay in the net you idiot. Do you never learn?

Aberg, I just don't get it. He lets them walk right down central avenue for a break away.

Spurgeon almost single-handedly gets us three points on the weekend
The guy has some INCREDIBLE games that go almost unnoticed
Islanders are the clingiest bunch of cling-ons that ever clinged to anything.

Their philosophy is "refs won't call you all night, if you just keep holding" And it worked to perfection.

Hate getting killed by Minnesota kids.
We're always so careful about that … drafting them, signing them, etc …. screw it. They're damn good players in most all circumstances.

The Rask/Aberg/Fiala experiment yesterday was another abysmal attempt at throwing excrement at a wall.

If you didn't see Spurgeon go from "behind their net" to .. "breaking up the 2 on 0 at the other end" … try to find it.
You'll never hear much about the kids speed and heart, but there's only a couple guys in the world could have made that play yesterday.

You hope someone asked Suter "just what did YOU do on that play?"

Caused the 2 on 0 that Spurgeon had to break up.

I still like Fiala. I think he had to look at the lineup last night and say "Why? What the f*** did I do?"

Rask is a turd we are stuck with for 3 more years at $4M per year. We traded a turd who was making $5.25M per year for the same years to get him, so that deal isn't a killer.

Aberg is a RFA. Even at his current $625K, he is stealing money. Let him go.
