The only semi encouraging thing is that all games we lost were at least competitive.. kinda...

Say what you will but I was liking pat shurmer as oc. The offense even with duck armed Keenum was unpredictable and fun to watch most times..

Philipino (sic) not so much....

Vikes by 10. I think we are going to figure out some of the problems in coverage and play well.

A little pressure on the passer would help. What has happened to the Sheldon Richardson "tossing blockers around with one arm" thing?

Feeling really shaky about this as we go on the road to where we were stomped in the NFCCG.

But we do have a few extra days and we need it more.

Zims gotta figure out the coverage issues or what's been happening will be a familiar refrain all season.

Its also where our 2016 season ended for all intents and purposes.

We went into Philly 5-0 with all the media talking us up as Super Bowl contenders.

Philly punched us in the mouth and we never recovered - winning only 3 more games all year.

Who would have thought at the start of the season we would be worried about the defense?

Dalvin Cook
MIN @PHI
Hide Outlook -
A rough start to the season gets even tougher for Dalvin Cook. The Eagles are hard to run on as it is, but as a visitor? Almost impossible. Philadelphia has surrendered just one rushing touchdown in its last 14 home games, and Ezekiel Elliot is the only player to scrape by 100+ rushing yards at Lincoln Financial Field since 2016. This season, the Eagles are allowing the fewest rushing yards per game (63.8). It all adds up to be an unpromising matchup for Cook, who's been held to two yards or less on a whopping 22 of 36 carries. - Tom Dierberger (@tomdierberger)

Hopefully this layoff does wonders for Dalvin's Hammy.

If so, I could see him going over the 100-yard mark.

He's due for break-out game, even if it is against Philthy D.

Philly currently is #1 against the run. However, their secondary is banged up and very vulnerable.

need a good game from our oline (if that's possible). Hopefully Reiff's foot injury is healed. Need to keep Cox from getting a push and collapsing the pocket (tough task).

Cousins has lit up the Eagles in the past.

Both teams need a win badly. Esp us.

Hope our defense shows up.

Hopefully we can figure out a way to attack them short of beating our heads against their run defense just t to show we can. And our D will need to be something less than a sieve. Based on our show against the Rams last week, and some tweaks by our D to limit the free running receivers, this is a winnable game. Cousins has shown he can do what needs to be done outdoors, on grass, and on the road.

Cousins would be quite the hero in Minnesota if he led the Vikes to a big win at Philly.

It's time to reverse things, to end Philly's season today, and start a turnaround in Minnesota.

Yikes....but, moved the ball fairly well. Would have liked to have seen a shot to the end zone.
