What's the Wolves all-time record for most points allowed in the 1st half?

You just saw it...

Alan Horton@WolvesRadio
The 83 points allowed in the 1st half tonight vs. 76ers are the most given up in ANY half in ANY game in Wolves franchise history.

The Wolves don't have enough talent to compete. Need another lottery pick. Team was flat .

Trading Towns for a bunch of #1's sounds good about now.

The current mix isn't going to work.

NBA is tough to like unless you are a fan of one of the 6 teams that are relevant.

No it doesn't. You could spend a decade in the lottery and never get another Towns. You are more likely to get a couple of busts.

We would forever be (remain) the laughing stock of the history of the league if we were to get rid of Towns.

I don't know how we could get rid of Wiggins' contract, but getting rid of Wiggins and Teague would be the place to start if you want to improve this basketball team.

It appears to be a very Minnesota thing to always want to get rid of the best player on a team...

Towns is just coming into his prime and continues to show signs that he's still improving. He's the last player you want to trade. He's the player you want to build around.

Trade everyone else, I don't care. But not him.

Its a brutal match-up for KAT because Joel is so much bigger than he is. It also doesn't help that the 76ers actually scheme around Embiid a lot more than we do with Towns.

I agree with Nate's comment about KAT:

quote:

I think KAT is a basketball nerd who gears things down when he goes up against a scheme/player he doesn’t fully understand how to play. He had a hard time with Davis for a while and then has started to play well against him. He doesn’t seem to have an idea what to do against Embiid.

Just like the rest of the league. When he's also hitting the three, what in the world do you do with him?

I do think you have to go at him and make him work on the defensive end, but Brown does such a good job keeping him fresh. Often times he takes him out for a quick breather after 6-7 minutes of playing time.

Likely true but what is the ceiling with him? Can't even get into the playoffs. Organization is just spinning its tires. You need to be building towards something or trying like hell to bottom out and get better players. The middle isn't good.

I would trade him for the guy at Duke in a second.

Flip needs to hire a shooting Coach and a big man's coach. He has to do things that he excels act and not try to take over the game. He needs someone to teach him how to guard other big men without fouling them. The whole team needs a shooting coach. You build around Towns not someone 15 years down the road. The whole team was flat, not just KAT. No single player can bring you a championship. Not in todays NBA, not even MJ.

I wouldn't. Towns just turned 23. It's a bit early to be knocking him for not carrying his team into the playoffs.

I would love to unload Rose ahead of the deadline.

I wouldn't trade KAT for our choice of the whole Duke Roster.
