ORIGINAL: David Levine Its a brutal match-up for KAT because Joel is so much bigger than he is. It also doesn't help that the 76ers actually scheme around Embiid a lot more than we do with Towns. I agree with Nate's comment about KAT: quote:
I think KAT is a basketball nerd who gears things down when he goes up against a scheme/player he doesn’t fully understand how to play. He had a hard time with Davis for a while and then has started to play well against him. He doesn’t seem to have an idea what to do against Embiid. Just like the rest of the league. When he's also hitting the three, what in the world do you do with him? I do think you have to go at him and make him work on the defensive end, but Brown does such a good job keeping him fresh. Often times he takes him out for a quick breather after 6-7 minutes of playing time. Flip needs to hire a shooting Coach and a big man's coach. He has to do things that he excels act and not try to take over the game. He needs someone to teach him how to guard other big men without fouling them. The whole team needs a shooting coach. You build around Towns not someone 15 years down the road. The whole team was flat, not just KAT. No single player can bring you a championship. Not in todays NBA, not even MJ.
